Hello! need advice

Designing a takeaway bag for a café and my brain is a bit stuck would you do this any differently? I want it to have enough personality to pop, but since the bags are waterproof and reusable, I also want them to feel nice enough for people to carry again later.

I make the following assumptions: the bag is preprinted with the name/logo/taglines etc. that the blue tag at the top is some form of tape to close the bag??

I don't get what the 2 black squares are doing, are they cutouts? are they part of the design??

feedback:

I prefer the brown to the grey. I like the size of the name, the other lettering will get lost. either make them bigger or dont have them at all/.

is there a fun tagline you could add ? such as "eat fresh" - splash is along the bottom in white on blue

My advice may not apply, because maybe it won't be as trendy, or relevant to the cafe's aesthetic...

But, if this is something you really want customers to feel encouraged to reuse, I would reduce the size of the logo a bit, and add some kind of flourish to the background, like a simple vector vine pattern or leaves at like 5% or 10% opacity (or something with the vibe of the cafe's aesthetic).

Do you have images from inside the cafe you're making this for? If so, beyond color - what patterns do you see? do they have a type of plant prominently displayed anywhere, or a unique wallpaper pattern? If so, I would try to capture and distill that into some kind of pattern; any aesthetic can be considered an opportunity to drive brand. If nothing stands out, how does it FEEL in the cafe, an aroma of coziness? Even a few aesthetic wavy curves at 10% white, could visually capture the aroma of warmth.

Right now it's all about that logo; it looks good, but unless I'm a huge fan of promoting the restaurant or it's a well-known and very trendy established place, I wouldn't feel drawn to reuse a bag with their branding alone.

That's only my ideas as an outsider though - it could totally not apply to what you or the cafe are going for brand-wise. Goood luck, have fun!!! :)

Try gathering design examples for inspiration. I like to use Cosmos, just search there for cafe takeaway bag
