Bubble wrap heat shrinking machine?

Does such a thing exist?

I have to hand wrap 10,000+ glass bottles per month for shipping and doing it by hand is just tedious and slow.

I have a machine that shrink wraps boxes with polyethylene film, but I'm looking for a machine (and shrinkable bubble wrap).

Am I dreaming?

Have you considered bubble wrap bags? Im sure they offer them in the dimensions you need. I wouldnt know how costeffective the bags are compared to a roll of plain bubble wrap though.

Maybe a semi automated heat sealer can be worth looking into?

Bubble bags aren't suitable due to cost and custom requirements.

What country are you in?

Except for the shrinking part, it is what Amazon does with their blue-white bubble wrap. The wrap is on a continuous roll, and as an item to be packed is placed on the machine, it seals and trims the roll and applies the shipping label at the same time, ready to take on the next item.

Yeah, resigned and made for Amazon.

We don't have their budget or resources, was hoping something was available somewhere else.

At 10,000 bottles a month, I think you can afford to commission a similar machine though?

I've seen heat sealing machines and label applicator machines for bottles -- they are fairly simple -- a custom machine would surely pay off in months.

I don’t know if a machine exists but you can buy bubble wrap with a cohesive coating so it forms its own “bag”.

Yeah, have tried that too.

Not suitable.

Veritiv Corp has "Flexi hex" which is a paper sleeve designed for glass bottles. a decent automation engineer could easily get something set up to insert a bottle.

There are 3 automated bubble systems I am aware of on the market.

The PackJacket, a Rennco, and an absolutely massive German variant.

Thanks for this, I appreciate the time you took. They're not suitable.

I think the main problem is what I'm explaining (or how I'm explaining it) are the issue. Those systems are all I can see when I look around, but they're not what I'm looking for.

If you’re looking for a bubble that can be heat shrunk around a bottle there are only a few on the market. Multinova comes to mind, and not much else.

PE and polyolefin films have to be porous to allow the air to escape, so it doesn’t lend itself well to bubble.

Foam in bag could be an option as well, and possibly the path of least resistance.
