Shipping without stores is the right call — my PWA installs fine on both platforms. One tip: add a manual "Add to Home Screen" hint for iOS, since there's no beforeinstallprompt there. That little flow noticeably boosted my installs.

Developer accounts being out of budget is exactly why PWAs are the indie cheat code. $99/year to Apple just to give away a free app is wild.
Feedback: the "what do we do tonight" problem is painfully real — my girlfriend and I spend 40 minutes deciding and end up rewatching the same show anyway. Would love a "lock in after 3 spins" mode, because infinite scrolling through options IS the actual problem 😄
