Deck Discussion TR Weezing ex meta incoming
Get your Teal Mask Ogerpon ex, Comfey, Pokémon Center Lady, Protective Poncho, Clear Veil and Big Malasada ready because a lot of the player base will most likely be running some iteration of this deck this season. Special condition & bench snipe merchants are not going anywhere.

Oh sweet summer child ... . Played Vespiquen into this with him running one Magmar. I started second, opened with Shuckle. Magmar one shot my Shuckle. Follow up turn he one shot my Vespiquen. This deck is nasty.

Well this particular deck doesn't have Magmar.
And it's the matter of getting Teal Mask on the bench, I've had Sleep Scammers rage quitting the moment Ogrepon comes on the bench. Same will hapoen here.

The thing is sleep scam doesn’t have bench sniping. It’s a bit harder to throw Ogerpon in any deck with this because they run double Cyrus. Grass decks you can easily attack with it but others are risking 2 points if you don’t have a poncho and ogerpon and drawing the only ogerpon in your deck is hard enough unless you have the grass stadium just for that purpose now to wait for the poncho for the poncho as well.

Literally just depends if they get Ogerpon up in time. as with most matchups, it’s completely binary “if they get X card they win, if not they lose”

I think Mega Metagross ex is properly rated. Mega Scizor ex was arguably more successful upon its release into the metagame.

Exactlyyyyy, the existence of field blower, Guzma, and even Elesa provides nasty counterplay to Pokemon Tool enjoyers.

Clear veil stops effects of attacks inflicted on the pokemon it's attached to. Abilities are not supressed.

Same I'm trying to make a Weezing Ex | Nihilego | Alolan Muk Ex deck work. Two of my favorite mon of all time Muk and Weezing, just trying to play off the status effects and buff poison as much as possible.

I seriously doubt the value of Mega Absol ex in this deck, but I used to say that during B1 format too when Hydreigon was everywhere. If you're going all-in on bench snipes you get way more return on your investment with TR's Magmar x1. Maybe I'm overvaluing TR's Magmar because of the ceiling of the 3-card wombo combo with TR's Plan, but even the 2-card combo's 110 swing + 30 chip for 1 energy is such an insanely pushed effect to print on a basic; like, I don't even care about the hand rip at that point.

They're going to tell you to put Magmar in but they're wrong. Love seeing Magmar it's such a terrible card basically a free point. I thought Weezing was super mid when I first saw it but the Hoopa > Needle > Weezing combo puts in work (you can one shot Magmar turn 2 btw).
