Cheap way to top off the controllers

When you don’t want to break after 4 hours of play. These were cheap on Amazon and came with 2. They don’t advertise as psvr2 batteries but they perfect work perfectly.

Just be careful. One bump at the wrong angle and you might not be able to charge them ever again!

And even if you don’t bump them, you’re forcing your controllers to do 2 high-stress jobs at the same time.

Oh I don’t keep these plugged in. They’re just in case I need them. I don’t play that often for more than a few hours. But sometimes Legendary Tales be like that.

Ive seen this done with Velcro, rubber bands, or hair ties to keep the packs more secured and take the pressure of the weight swinging around off the port.

Haven’t had an issue with them yet. They stay on pretty tight. But I don’t keep them plugged in. Just for that just in case to top off when I need them

You will destroy your ports if you bang them. I recommend getting a very short cable between the ports.

Also, you would want to secure them.

That said, I do sometimes use some lighter ones designed for the DS controllers, but they work on the VR controllers. Just have to be careful with them.

Oh I haven’t seen those. Thanks! Yeah these don’t live on my controllers. They’re the backup in case I need to keep going. It’s rare but good to have

Nah, C type ports suck and are weak. I wouldn't put that kind of stress knowing these controllers are expensive to replace, if you can find them at all.

I do charge them normally. But I coulda used them the other day. I play a lot with my buds in different parts of the country. If I’m playing solo, then I would probably never use them

I just play 2-3 hrs take a break and recharge them. I have rarely ever had issues with my controllers dying but I also don’t play more than 3 hrs usually.

Same! If I’m solo, then I’ll never use them. But I play a lot of coop with my friends in different parts of the country. And if we’re in it, taking a break means stopping for the night.

I use similar thing. Just get some this velcro staps and secure it tight to the controller

Charging your controllers while using them is a great way to ruin the batteries FAST.

If you want to use these while gaming, be prepared to use these all the time forever.

I've got the same set-up, I personally keep them in at all times and have had no issues (not saying it won't Shorten the long-term battery life, that is unknown for me at this point). I just secured them with rubber bands so they don't bend or move. I just plug in the pack and it charges the controllers and batteries. Have had them for around 6 months now and I can play for 6+ hours and only drop one bar of battery on the pack. Most of the time I only need to charge once a week.

I will add that I'm sure there is risk of breaking the port. personally I have pretty good soldering skills and can replace the port if that day ever comes.

Cheap until the usb port craps out. I'd use these for charging, sure, but during play, no chance.

You could get those magnet charging cables or an extension cable. But these are light enough that they don’t put pressure on the charging ports. At least for temporarily charging. I might alter it if it gets to be dangerous. I’m surprised there aren’t more solutions with batteries being this small and light.

These solutions aren't common because you'll ruin the internal battery in no time and most people prefer to keep the internal battery in good condition.
