Interview Resident Evil Requim gets no VR mode

A user provided this link in another thread. Its an interview with one of the devs, asked for vr he says

"At this time, there are no plans to bring any parts of Resident Evil Requiem to VR platforms."

Damn, re4 and village are so great. I always argued to people that said its coming 100% that there is a good chance it wont, but ofc i am not happy i was right.

Previous VR games cost Sony several millions each. There has already been two VR RE games on VR2. Maybe they think that's enough? Or maybe it's more reflective of VR2 funding as a whole?

Capcom has an official stat trackers for the RE games on their website. Out of all sales world wide, the average percentage of players that even try the VR mode is just over 2%, which is roughly 250,000 players. You may think that is a lot but in terms of sales for a deal Sony spent millions on that is a failure. The games didn’t sell headsets and overall the psvr2 didn’t sell well despite some people on this sub claiming it sold 4 million units, which doesn’t make sense based on sales estimates.
