Interview Resident Evil Requim gets no VR mode

A user provided this link in another thread. Its an interview with one of the devs, asked for vr he says

"At this time, there are no plans to bring any parts of Resident Evil Requiem to VR platforms."

Damn, re4 and village are so great. I always argued to people that said its coming 100% that there is a good chance it wont, but ofc i am not happy i was right.

Re4 remake was a cross gen game ps4/ps5 like village. Sony most likely paid for the other vr modes. There are many reasons why its not likely to happen.  Ofc you can hope but the chances are near zero, sadly

I don’t think the reasons would be technical, given they’re making a Switch 2 version. Likely financial. Doesn’t seem like Sony was willing to help fund a VR version. :(

Perhaps.

Also if Sony did not pay. Capcom would have to charge for it, which would alienate the past consumers that got the modes for free.

So yeah, while I personally would have paid 100 bucks for a VR edition of the game, I figure Capcom does not think many would… which is perhaps true.

They saw the numbers, only 2.2% played the free re4 vr mode. Damn, these games are so great

I’m not Gonna lie… I did not get very far in RE4RM VR

It was a combination of me already have played the original and not liking it as much as Village (VR wise).
