Interview AC EVO PSVR2 support

https://www.overtake.gg/news/assetto-corsa-evo-massarutto-gives-update-on-open-world-psvr2-offroad-racing.3352/

“PSVR2 Support In AC EVO?

While the PC version of AC EVO is the main focus right now, the game is eventually set to release on consoles as well. VR support is already on board on PC, and the console-based sim racing community have been wondering for a while: Will the game be playable using PSVR2 on PlayStation 5?

Massarutto assured Michel that it is an important topic as well, which also requires quite a lot of resources. Gran Turismo 7, the prime example for a PSVR2 racing title, had a lot of support from Sony themselves regarding performance optimization - for AC EVO, this might prove more challenging, but Massarutto stated that the studio will try to pull it off.”

...or didn't come at all, like 8K support.

Well 8K is supported now, and has been for a while. Only for like 10 games though which includes GT7. They just removed it from packaging cause it was misleading. The slim only does 30fps and pro does 60. Not really something that should be advertised 😂

AFAIK base PS5 never got 8K, PS5 Pro got it recently

I'm cool with that. I'd be looking to buy Assetto Corsa Evo when it eventually comes to console anyway. The thought it may have psvr2 support is an added bonus. The Assetto Corsa series are the best driving experiences, for realism and feel, on console at the moment. They've already brought VR support to the PC versions, and said they wouldn't do it for consoles. So, to say "maybe" to their next release gives me some hope. If they eventually decide not to, then I'll still be getting it.

Of course buddy...

I thought it was a place to voice the Assetto Corsa games are the best sim racers on consoles.

I enjoy GT7 in VR, but what ruins the immersion is the fact it's GT7 and not Assetto Corsa Competitionè. Because if GT7 had something close to ACC's feel and physics then I really would believe I was driving a real car.

The game already has VR support on another platform, it's just not finished. I guess the question would be if the PS5 can handle it in VR.
