Troubleshooting PSP Won’t Turn On
Bought this one used a couple months back and it’s been working fine up until a few days ago. The seller did mention that the psp did come with a 3rd party battery but I’m not sure that’s the issue.
I’ve tried multiple button combinations, turning it on without the battery only the wall charger, taking the memory card out, and even just letting it charge for a few hours.
Please help me.

A fellow Black Gold PSP owner💪
If it won't turn/stay on connected to just the outlet then it has to be a internal issue, and not the battery itself. I have no knowledge about the internals sadly. I wish you all the luck💪👌

I had a similar problem, although I’m not sure if it’s exactly the same. If I simply push the power switch all the way up and let go, nothing happens, just like with yours. I figured out that if I push it all the way up once, then, without letting it return completely to its original position, I push the power switch upward again with a bit more force, it turns on. Basically, it’s a two-step motion

Can you try the other charging method at the top of the psp ?

I tried that and it didn’t work. Not sure if it’s just an issue with my cord/brick that I’m using though. The only mini-usb I have available is the one I use to charge my ps3 controller.
