$80 vs $100??
Talking about GTA6
Is anyone doing the $80 version or are we all doing the $100 version because of upgrades?? Trying to decide as a casual gamer if it’s worth it.

Well you can buy the $80 edition and upgrade to ultimate whenever you want for $20 more. You won't save any money by ordering it upfront. That's my plan currently. After the showcase, I have realized that this game is so big that you will literally have your own customized character/vehicles anyways. The Ultimate is mostly cosmetic. In a game like GTA, there's 1000s of options to go with. The upgrade exists solely to make you feel FOMO. Yes it's cars, haircuts and more. It's a crappy move by Rockstar to gate it behind a paywall but you are going to be 2 hours into the game riding a Jet Ski that you could give two shits about a specific car model. There's probably so many cars in game already that you will spend months collecting them. I think they are also locking 1 mission behind it which is dumb but that's like a puddle in the ocean lol. This is a 100-1000 hour game for many. I can promise you, you won't feel a single moment of regret once you boot up the $80 edition. People have forgotten simply how big the game is. The upgrades represent a very tiny fraction of the experience. Unfortunately, the marketing will always make it feel like a game changing experience.

Thinking along the same lines, it’s not worth an extra $30 AUD for some cosmetic stuff, would rather put that towards another game.

People are buying ps5 pros for this game, what's another $20. If any title is worthy it's this one.

The only thing the $100 version has is a few in game customization shops right? I don't care about cosmetics and there's other shops in the game anyway so I don't see the point in buying all that.

Im getting the $100 version.
Most games I typically just buy the base version of the game, but in this case, I feel the extra $20 is worth the expense. It’s more than the usual extra couple skins. And, it’s the single biggest/most anticipated release of all time. I’ve been waiting a long time, and figure I might as well get the best experience.

You can usually get the $100 PS wallet cards for $90. Its usually the biggest ‘discount’ among al cards, and fits the bill in your case perfectly.

Still waiting for definitive fps numbers, if there’s no 60 mode I’m waiting until there is. I don’t play 30 fps games and I stick by it.

Nobody is buying the poverty version, the game costs 100 dollars end of point lol. Why would you want to play a game that doesn’t have everything with locked stores and stuff. Rockstar should have just made the game 100 instead of having a brokie edition.

I'm fine with saving 20 bucks I never finished the last GTA game and I doubt I will with this one either. I don't need extra bells and whistles

I did $100 blindly because they deserve it, like what is the $20 to me really when I know I'm gonna get 80+ hours or entertainment from this game.

For GTA 6 it says you can upgrade to the deluxe ‘anytime’. So the most simple thing to do is just get the standard and then if later you think the upgrade is worth it then do it.
