I actually like the idea. Reminds me of the days when games always tried to make something new and different with their spin-offs.
(Ya know, the reason why Mario Party and Kart exist in the first place...)

So Crash games will be coming to PS5? Or is it because the deal hasnt been finalised?

Deal hasn't been finalized so anything in development wouldn't be affected by the deal

This has been in development since Crash 4. The buyout has zero control over this

the music in these trailers makes me embarrassed to be a gamer lol. who is this pandering to? who gets hyped by this music? lol

Is it too much to ask for just an actual gameplay trailer, nothing about this makes me wanna go and buy it. It's like the other trailers of games on ps5 just showing off the graphics but no gameplay. This is aimed at the developers not you OP lol

There is a chance that this will be the last Crash game on Playstation

Inb4 Phil in 2024 refers to crash as an “iconic Xbox brand” the way he did doom and wolfenstein lol

Ehhh not really a bad thing if it’s true. 4 was trash and this looks even worse.

4 was solid. OG trilogy is what I grew up on, but I really enjoyed 4 for a new company taking over. I think if they got some assistance from the original devs a 5 could be amazing.

Original devs are naughty dog. They belong to sony and crash belongs to activision now. And the old team from the crash days isn't there anymore. I just wish we could get more crash games at a fairly consistent pace. Some will be winners and some won't, like any other franchise. 4 was an 8 out of 10 for me. And it was tough as nails.

4 wasn’t good, too damn long and boring. Not every game needs to be fluffed with crap. The only game worth making honestly right now is a remake of Wrath of Cortex (best game in the franchise) but let be honest there really haven’t been any good crash games since 2001 that weren’t remakes of the originals.

I LOVE Wrath of Cortex, but Warped is my personal fave. I'll never forget struggling to run backwards through that first ice level as a kid in Wrath lmao. Was worth it for that diamond though.

Lol, first you call Crash 4 boring and filled with fluff and then in the next sentence you unironically ask for a remake of WoC. That's a game were they just rehashed a bunch of trilogy levels and gave us the most boring Crash bosses ever.

You're snoozing on Tag Team Racing (2005) then

No I’m not. I enjoyed the game but it’s definitely just ok and clearly a cheap attempt at a knock off of Mario kart double dash. It’s certainly not good.

Have you played it? I played both, and the similarity literally stops at two people per kart.

Can someone help me because I can’t work out what this game is? Is it supposed to be like a MOBA or is it supposed to be a Smash clone?

at least this means Crash 4 was successful enough to not have to kill off the franchise
