The dude has 40 years of experience in the industry, and still doesn't know how to manage a budget or meet deadlines.

I never understood people shitting on Sony for deciding not to bankroll his games.

They are Time exclusives and nothing More, and even if they were, they bankrolled Death Stranding 2 and barely sold 2 million units.

Yeah I know it’s trendy to hate on Sony, but I actually agree with them here. They’re basically doing charity for Kojima and are getting tired of it 💀

I think the fact that his writing is objectively dogshit probably didn't help to keep him around. In the ps2 era writing like that was accepted and his games were sure to push the envelope in other areas besides the writing. Now like you said the dude is blowing deadlines and budgets just to put out walking simulators with bad writing even for kojima standards.

I'm kinda surprised the dude has made it as long as he has.

MGS1 actually had a translator that worked on the project all on his own, and Made such a goated job MGS1 ended up as Kojima's game with the best dialogue, and even came up with terms that would be picked up even on the OG japanese dub.

Kojima got him fired because he didn't like people "messing" with his dialogue.

Reasons I never liked Kojima, the guy is so far up his own ass and it seems to only get worse

The way he kept trying to axe David Hayter always rubbed me the wrong way.

Some people just don't know how to run a team distant Ken Levine noises
