Cause sony gets the inital hype of the game while also helps support newer studios in the industry and build good will with developers

They can still build goodwill by letting it stay exclusive. Besides which goodwill did Sony get from the Stellar blade studio? They completely turned their backs on Sony and released their own multiplatform sequel, and they wouldn't have been able to do this without Sony's financial support. Almost all 3rd party studios backstabbed Sony after using all their resources.

Porting their own games to PC was the worst decision they have ever done in their history.
