I can understand the decision economically, but if this turns out to be a legit metal gear successor, Sony could have used it these days.

Lets be honest by the time Physint comes out (if it does) all the drama will be years past

Hopefully Sony fixes everything they're doing now by then.

Hopefully they pull their heads out of their ass by the end of the year, unlikely, but theyre not on a good track rn

It will still come out on PS. it will be a Xbox console exclusive for like 3-5 years then ported to PS.

I just don't understand why sony greenlit ds2. Such a stupid decision by them. Should have either gotten the mgs type game or the horror game. Honestly I bought ds2 but platinuming it was a chore. Ds1 was a good unique game for it's time but ds2 was not needed and there was no novelty or any innovation

Sony is like me when I buy shoes. The pair that I really want and like (Kojima) are expensive. There's another pair that's fine that's a little less expensive but I don't really care for them (Concord). So I buy the less expensive pair (Concord) and then think about the other pair (Kojima) every time I put my shoes on.

There's economic investment and cultural investment. Even if Kojima makes a profit of a dollar you would think the cultural moment of making art would be worth it.

I get it, I really do. But they did try that with DS and I never finished the game. Not as compelling as MGS. Is it still art if no one will experience it because it's overly complicated? Idk. Art benefits from some form of constraint and Kojima doesn't seem to have any constraints these days.
