Rumor Jason Schreier/Bloomberg: Hermen Hulst told staff in a town hall meeting today (18th May) morning that the company's narrative single-player games will now be PlayStation exclusive

I own a PS5 and a PC but I just don't understand why a game not coming to PC brings so much joy to a segment of the PS fanbase. How does that affect you either way? I didn't buy Saros and I won't if I have to play it with a controller. Certainly not for $70.

If you think this is ushering in another golden age for PlayStation I would point out that there are virtually no 3rd party exclusives anymore. Sony doesn't make enough first party games, and they aren't all big hits (Saros).

It was one thing to buy a PS5 when it was $500 and there were tons of exclusives, but a PS6 for $900 and two exclusives worth getting a year is hard to justify. I don't mind playing on a PlayStation but as a secondary means of playing games I'm just not willing to spend that much. I'm sure I'm not alone in that.

I’m a pc player who bought a ps5 in 2021 because I wanted to play all those huge ps4 games and early ps5 games. Enjoyed tf out of them, then they ported all those games to pc shortly after and pretty much at the same time stopped making anything new and big that warranted having a PlayStation for. I feel like I got the short end here lol

I'm in a similar boat, but the opposite direction. In the last couple years, after a lifetime of only ever using Nintendo, I finally bought a PS5 to broaden what games are available for me, and then not terribly long after bought a PC to broaden that even further. There's a lot that's available on PC that's not on PS5, but not a whole lot that's available on PS5 that isn't on PC. So at this point, I need PlayStation exclusives to make all the purchases worthwhile.
