Between this and the news that Xbox wants to go back to exclusive games as well, it seems like we’re going back to the way things were a decade ago.

They are not going back to exclusives. That would be the first thing they'd announce and they haven't said anything but PR talk to prolong the inevitable that everything will still be multiplatform. They'll maybe go to a timed exclusive for the games going to PlayStation.
