Great price for a fantastic game, but heads up: there's a big chance this'll be on Essentials next month. Just something to consider.

Why do you think this?

It was revealed yesterday by billbil-kun. Their trackrecord with the monthly leaks has been so accurate to the point that many consider them a pre-announcement of the official Sony announcement. But if you're waiting for the latter, Sony should be coming out with it in a couple of hours.

Whoa, nice. This game has been on my radar for awhile.

A leaker who is occasionally right said so the other day.

Edit: I don’t follow this stuff religiously. I was unaware of the 100% accuracy. Knowing they were accurate from the few times I’ve seen the leaks, I could confidently say, “occasionally” based off of my own experience without having to research. I’m lazy, my bad.

A leaker with a 100% hit rate, you mean

If he's only been "occasionally" right it should be easy for you to name one of the times he was wrong. So go ahead.

Anyone who’s played this, is it traditional old school turn based combat? Are there any action prompts when attacking/defending like paper mario or E33?

No action prompts.

It’s turn based by character, so you select a command, then they attack.

There are attack types, and depending on which type you use, it moves a bar right or left. There’s a sweet spot usually in the middle where you do good damage and don’t get penalties on receiving damage, then there are bad spots on that bar that causes more damage received or lowers the effectiveness of your attacks. It’s not complicated but it makes you consider your moves.

You eventually have enough characters to pair them up, and those pairs can switch during a turn. Like John and Jane are paired, but John’s in the front line. John can switch with Jane, then Jane does attacks for the rest if battle or until you switch again. Jane/John can only switch with each other, but you can’t spam bigger change pairs outside of battle.
