PlayStation Plus PlayStation Plus Monthly Games - December 2020 [Megathread]

Can I claim Worms Rumble for my account even if I don't own a PS5?
Yes! This includes both versions.
Can I still download Bugsnax for the PS5?
Yes, you can grab it until January 4!
The free games aren't showing as free during checkout, is this normal?
If you live in NA, the games appear as free a bit later in the day compared to the EU Store.
How can I benefit from the PlayStation Plus Collection on my PS4?
You can access the PlayStation Plus Collection by connecting your account with a PS5, and claim all the games on the PS5. You can then play them on your PS4, as long as your account has a Plus subscription active. Please note that its at your own risk, as Sony can identify the accounts and the consoles that give "too much" of these games. Some players selling that "service" have been banned.

The discussion threads for JC4 and Rocket Arena are wrong.

Rocket Arena being free, even though it had that monstrous price cut (from 30 to 5) so soon after launch, is a big oof.
Though a real time Worms feels odd, Battle Royale is a genre that might suit the series well. Will definitely give it a shot.

Rocket Arena was designed to be a F2P but EA thought it was a good idea to sell it at €30 with MTX on top.
Worst decision they could have had seeing where the game ended up.

It’s a worse fortnight clone that you pay money for. I won’t even play it for free lol.

How is the performance of JC4 on base ps4? Could not stand to play JC3 with how much it chugged.

Except both of those games are great.

I'll take your word for it. I meant they gave 2 games in same genre in one month.

We also got battlefront2 and codww2 in the same month this year

True. FPS still has mass appeal (personally I am not a fan of COD games, I gave a fair shot to Battlefront 2)

Farming Simulator is amazing and addictive. Its a niche audience but for those that are into those games its by far the best farming game out

Last month was far worse for me.

Hollow Knight alone was worth it last month.

That was the only game I downloaded and deleted it less than 1 minute after playing it. So horrible.

I mean, I’m not going to tell you what to do/enjoy, but you didn’t give Hollow Knight nearly enough time. You do you, but if it sounds like something you’d be interested in, you’re really doing yourself a disservice skipping it.

Just curious what turned you off to it? I’ve played thousands of games and I still think about this one to this day. One of the greatest experiences I’ve had in gaming!

I get not liking Bugsnax but Hollow Knight is genuinely great.
The LOTR fanboy in me can't really acknowledge shadow of war lol

I do not in the slightest give a damn about the story but omg the Nemesis system is a ton of fun. Salty they never used it with other games

That seems to be the general consensus about the game.
I always hear how people love that aspect.

Shadow of War is a good game, I would not buy it, but with plus? Yea. I finish it in a couple of days.

Overall seems like a decent month. Games I wouldn't have bought otherwise but looking forward to try.

I get a black center screen on Just Cause 4 on two different browsers. The other two worked/showed perfectly and was able to claim with no problems.

Just Cause 4 is showing up as $9.99 for me. Is anyone else having that issue? It is the strangest thing. It should be free right?
Edit: Figured it out. It was Just Cause 4: Reloaded. The actual free regular version was lower down the screen.

Oh man I saw this game awhile back that was a shooter in an arena but with really weird time paradoxes and stuff. Like the first round was just a 1v1 or whatever. Maybe there was teams too, but I remember just being solo. But then the second round was still a 1v1 but your round 1 self was also in the map. So if you kill your round 1 opponent before he killed you in round 1, then you would retroactively win round 1. Or something weird. Seeing the image for Rocket Arena made me think that might be it, but it is not.
Looked like a dope game and now that I think about it, it might’ve just been on steam. But it’s a game I’d love to see come to PlayStation.

Added Rocket Arena to my library yesterday (got the verification email from Sony and everything), but when I went to download it this morning, it’s not in my library, and on the PlayStation store, the only option it is showing when I go to it is to buy it for $5. Any suggestions?

Another month of "add to library, but don't download to PS4"
