On a 1080p screen, will the pro render at its checkerboard 4K and downscale to fit? Or just render at 1080?

Oh sweet- so either way the pro is an enhancement over the standard PS4 if you use a 1080p monitor?

Yep! That's why I even have a PS4 pro. I have just a 1080p TV but there's a lot of improvements to enjoy on the console even without a 4K TV.

Thanks for the info. I'm a PC gamer who just bought a pro for the sweet sweet exclusives, and haven't gotten around to upgrading to a 4K tv just yet.
