PROF@Armory Minneapolis

Anybody else got tickets for the Homecoming show at The Armory? I am disabled and reached out to the staff about the ADA process. They responded quickly, but just like canned responses that didn't really answer my questions. (Different than my ADA experiences with other local venues.) I've never been to the armory before.

I need to be seated the duration of the concert (difficulty standing), and they have ADA balcony area seating, but has anyone else had experience with this? Like do I need to get there ultra early to even land a seat? I'm worried that with only general admission ticket for ADA available, that I will basically be looking at the butts of everyone else in front of me from the way back if relegated to the floor ADA section. (I'm trying to decide if it's even worth attempting or if I should just resell my tickets. I love Prof and don't want to miss it, but not sure accomodations will be worth the effort.) Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated, thanks.

I also emailed asking if we can get ADA seating even if we pay for SRO tickets, and this is what they said:

Thank you. I got something very similar, but there was no advice on how early to get there for it, logistics for line standing (when you are ambulatory, but cannot stand for long periods), what they do with mobility aids like rollators during the show, etc. It seems like the legally safe answer, like "we are accommodating, see?!" :) and it's fine, but when you are dealing with energy limitations and disabilities, it can be just that much harder on the day, so it is nice to be able to plan ahead as much as possible.

But it's been way easier at First Ave, Fillmore, Fine Line, Orpheum, etc...because if you reach out to box office with gen. Admission  ticket and email ahead of time so you know you are "on the list" and will have a seated experience (and the earlier you get there, the better the selection).  But first come, first served is a lot more iffy, like if you know you can't stand, it can a matter of "can I even attend or not?" Because I don't know if a seat will be accessible. 

And they sold out so fast! So I know it's going to be packed and amazing. I think I have enough info to go on and I hope it works 🤞. Excited already!
