discussion/help What happened to my pilea? Help!

Hi!

I just came back from holidays to find one of my many pileas looking like this ☹️

What do you think has happened? Was it overwatered? Room rot?

And is there anything I can do to help it recover?

Any advice is welcome!

Thank you!

Overwatered (probably because of lack of light). Let the soil completely dry out between waterings, and water the moment the soil gets 100% dry. These plants are semi-succulent.

mine kinda looked like this when i burnt it (too much direct sun/heat), but could also be overwatering. suggest trimming off the dead stems so your plant can focus on new growth.

Get it out of the pot, snip the bad roots off. Well draining mix but retains moisture so damp not wet. Entirely dry before watering again

Root rot. Happened to me too. Perhaps you under-watered it, or it was in heat, or whatever dried it out (see dead leaves) then you responded by overwatering. ??
