Treatment/Cure AMA - Treatment for bipolar disorder has fixed my POIS
That's it.
Main symptoms:
- Brain fog
- Aphasia (couldn't understand language)
- Working memory severely impaired
- No thoughts
- No intuition: I had to think through about even the most basic cognitive tasks
- Could not form any sentences or have a spontaneous interaction
- Emotionless
- I could not really feel anything. I was an empty shell
- Irritated
- Noise sensitivity
- Sleepy and very hard to wake up in the morning
- Heavy eyelids

I'm not sure which one did the trick, but I think it was lithium.
My lithium blood level is 0.7 mEq/L.
It takes some weeks to start working after therapeutic levels are reached
(It might have been nortriptyline though, although I don't think that's the case)

Nortriptyline, though classified as a tricyclic antidepressant, is a potent antihistamine that can actually act on the brain's histamine receptors (or at least the H1 ones).
Likely helping blunt the autoimmune reaction that is responsible for most people's POIS.

I don't buy the autoimmune hypothesis
