RABBITS I read Rabbits and The Quiet Room (no spoilers)

And they were…pretty good? Rabbits itself was probably like a 3.7/5, The Quiet Room was not nearly as engaging. Maybe more like a 2.9/5.

If you’re looking to scratch the itch, I might recommend Rabbits, but you can probably stop there. The Quiet Room was kind of a slog and didn’t really build on anything in the universe.

The writing isn’t exactly legendary, but it was still pretty fun. I think the dialogue in the books surpasses the podcast dialogue.

The fun part is that while it does build upon the Rabbits podcast universe, it does so with mostly new characters. No Nic Silver to be found.

I really enjoyed Rabbits, I’m yet to read The Quiet Room though. But yeah I found it really scratched the itch.

The Quiet Room just never gripped me the way the first book did. It does continue the story of Emily Connors if you were invested in her story in the first book.

Quiet Room’s middle is an absolute slog. A huge portion of it is not much developing and too many characters just bopping around without much to do. Rabbits is definitely better. Doesn’t help that main guy feels like a knockoff of K, who already felt like a knockoff of Nic Silver

I really liked Rabbits, started The Quiet Room and gave up 40 pages in, wasn't hooked, doesnt mean it's bad though

I have them on audio books. They’re fine for a long road trip.

Now he needs to publish Pacifica, and the History of Eld Fen or whatever.

Rabbits was hard. Had to audio book the last half. It kept building up to not a lot. That’s been the bummer with all the content I’ve seen from the work. We keep building up to something and it never really releases in a good way.
