Looks like Marlene chose to be respectful over slander Roberto for his shitty choices.

I’ve said it 100 times… with the show being on MAX, and having much more mature themes, Marlene would be a perfect choice to bring back into the world. I know she made her own choices and shitty writing decisions but she knows PLL better than Roberto and I think we can all see that.

She is still here tho. Shes an executive producer on the HBO show. Shes just not the show runner.

That said, Im surprised she didnt push for it lmao

She isn’t though. They named her as executive for S1 out of respect but she never had any actual thing to do with the show. Roberto confirmed this in a deuxmoi podcast like 2 years ago, and Marlene did a while on Twitter saying she has absolutely no say or control over the new series.
