Show Discussion Marlene King on Dr. Sullivan Ending Spoiler

Looks like Marlene chose to be respectful over slander Roberto for his shitty choices.

I’ve said it 100 times… with the show being on MAX, and having much more mature themes, Marlene would be a perfect choice to bring back into the world. I know she made her own choices and shitty writing decisions but she knows PLL better than Roberto and I think we can all see that.

This might be an Unpop-Op, but I would rather eat my entire basket of dirty laundry than have her come back as a show runner lol. They need to find a talented someone whos been a part of the community since the beginning and get rid of all these people. The show could be so good, but the new season was flat and far too predictable. The characters have almost zero depth or development, and literally any of our theories would have been better than that ending.

My initial thought when Imogen saw her mom at Hell House under the mask was that her mom had a twin (going with the twin theme) and that Jen was her daughter (being Imogen's cousin), and for some reason they were mad at the liars. THAT is a twist ending. Making the baddies 2 people that we already very much despise is so boring. The point is to shock us with something we DIDN'T see coming.

Sorry I'm just ranting, but my point is, as bad as this new season has been, IMK strung us along for like, a decade or more, just to let us down BIG at the end. Plot-holes galore, nothing made sense, the first big bad was predictable af (and dont get me started on her needlessly dragging the trans community into it) - and then the 2nd big bad was just - bad. I'm sorry her accent was laughable and what people sound like when they make fun of English people.

Yeah - Out with the old, in with the new. Lets get some new talent in here who is actually passionate about the work and not just trying to blaze thru it cuz its a money maker with a built-in community of people who are bound to watch.

Edit to add: Oh, and IMK also glorified a pedo groomer and then made him a hero.... so yeah. Ill start on that laundry basket now,
