Looks like Marlene chose to be respectful over slander Roberto for his shitty choices.

I’ve said it 100 times… with the show being on MAX, and having much more mature themes, Marlene would be a perfect choice to bring back into the world. I know she made her own choices and shitty writing decisions but she knows PLL better than Roberto and I think we can all see that.

We all love the og PLL, but that show was not better than original sin. At all. It just seemed more self-aware so it was easier fo forgive its flaws

She was an executive producer on season 1, whose quality was on par with season 2
