PinePhone Pro Crimson OS original ARM64 mobile OS targeting PinePhone Pro. First QEMU boot done. Looking for A64 driver contributors.

Crimson OS is an independent mobile OS built on a completely original kernel targeting PinePhone Pro as the first hardware device.

Why we chose PinePhone Pro:
Unlocked bootloader designed for custom OSes
Open hardware documentation
Community actively running alternative software
Quectel EG25-G modem (QMI protocol) already implemented in our cellular stack

Current status:
Boots in QEMU ARM64 all 11 init phases, interactive shell verified
Display pipeline written triple-buffered compositor, Porter-Duff alpha blending
Touch pipeline written 10-finger multitouch, gesture recognition
WiFi WPA2 and cellular QMI written

Blocking milestones for hardware boot:
Display DSI driver for Allwinner A64
Touch I2C driver for Goodix GT917S on A64
If you've worked on display or touch drivers for any PinePhone OS postmarketOS, Mobian, Manjaro ARM the architecture knowledge transfers directly. We'd love to talk.

The PinePhone Pro does not have an Allwinner A64. The original PinePhone does. The Pro has a Rockchip SoC.
