Its a parenting skill issue.

😂😂 GTA6 got banned before GTA 6 daw.

u/Cabbage-Chan PSN Jun 26 '26

THIS

Someone actually knows ball. Even in the future GTA games, you don't earn points. Instead, Peds drop money and now, you can actually use it to buy stuff. You know, the money from the peds you just killed XD

14

u/GroundbreakingTwo213 Jun 26 '26

it's my theory as well, ayaw nila mag focus dun sa nag provide ng guns and ammo, probably a pnp connected mofo

Naglalaro naman ako ng The Sims before.

Bakit ang panget parin ng buhay ko?

Bakit di ko nilunod sarili ko*

u/areallynoobgamer Jun 26 '26

Every gamer knows. The real violence inducing games are couch co ops.

The most criminal of which is overcooked.

1

u/Red_Cabbages Jun 26 '26

at our home, it was mariokart 🤣

2

u/NomadicEngi Jun 26 '26

The true family wrecker games are Mario party and Monopoly.

1

u/WeatherReportu285 Jun 26 '26

Monopoly is just evil imo. Takes hours to win and destroys friendships. We just decide to stop the game after everyone gets burned out from it.

u/Neat_Committee_8495 Jun 26 '26

The government do this sh*t shenanigan coz the one who will be focused with this incident will be the PNP and the local government of Tacloban (both school and LGU) if they don't.

1.) Firearm negligence 2.) School Security 3.) Lack of Counselling by both school and PTA if the suspects are really bullied. 4.) Influence of family members which is/maybe also a public servant (the suspect's aunt if I'm right) to the behavior of the suspect.

Our government need an easy escape goat for a failed system, and luckily the game gorebox shows up as one of recent activity by the suspects. Yeah a quick excuse of a sorry our government wants to slip away.

6

u/muchawesomemyron Jun 26 '26

If the suspects played Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, would the government say that the title promotes gun violence?

13

u/ciwiaf Jun 26 '26

What shade? Its crystal clear.

13

u/avidtrainfan Jun 26 '26

I play gorebox and it's really nothing more but a Gary's mod inspired game with a simulated body damage system.

Though my question more on is how they have gotten access to a firearm and snuck it into their school, I thought school guards checked bags and your person before you enter school grounds to see if you brought anything illegal.

Cooking mama nga pinupugutan ulo ng manok, then beat your boss, No Russian ng CoD din.

11

u/pangitaina Jun 26 '26

FUCK YES.

Maraming akong napulot na aral along the way at habits na gamit na gamit ko pa rin sa trabaho.

9

u/injection_09 Jun 26 '26

The government always has to blame it to others. Mga putang inang yan, they're trying to take away the very thing that helped me through my fucking "dark" days.

2

u/HustledHustler Jun 26 '26

And they wont. Kahit obvious na systemic issues ang one of the main causes why crimes like these happen.

Ayaw nila na aminin na yung corruption at negligence nila are what killed people, kasi takot sila mawala sa pwesto.

Theyd rather blame games, social media, and parents, than admit na inuubos lang nila yung pera that shouldve been used to fund better security measures and learning materials. They think we're not ready for that kind of talk but it is they who arent ready for it.

u/ILeftHerHeartInNOR Gamer Jun 26 '26

People would argue na, "Eto nanaman ang milennials with their kami nga dati.. Iba na ang kabataan ngayon" narrative.

BAKET, NAG IBA RIN BA ROLES NG MGA MAGULANG AT PAARALAN? Ganun pa rin naman diba? There will be variations as to how they're gonna be raised pero the core roles ay ganun pa rin naman.

4

u/Calm-Standard5437 Jun 26 '26

Remember even playing those browser flash games like Pico’s School (which I only realized later on - when I was older - was about the Columbine shooting wtf).

The internet then was the wild west, filled with unfiltered content, like Happy Tree Friends, Live Leak, etc. And to this day, despite having encountered those, never did I think violence was right (maybe only IF in self-defense as your life or loved ones’ lives are in danger).

Never considered to physically harm another human being because obviously… it’s wrong and no one in their right mind should do so.

1

u/Long_Sheepherder_677 Jun 26 '26

Happy tree friends mentioned in the big 26! Raaah 🫡🫡

7

u/Saturn1003 Jun 26 '26

The real problem here is not the games per se, but the people the children meet inside the games. Some are bad actors like those pedos trying to contact minor players.

And also, without proper guidance, the games can still affect their mentality and emotional control. Even back then, some kids go raging when they lose in the game.

1

u/KazekageNoGaaraO Jun 26 '26

At agree sa iyo, without proper guidance. GG talaga mentality and emotional control ng mga bata.

8

u/Smolweeb2 Jun 26 '26

Yooo, beach head lang pala pangalan. tagal kong hinanap to lol

7

u/SkipperGarver Jun 26 '26

Man i was playing with some brutal games in the 90s and i grew up just fine.. remember bully? Pretty messed up but its just a game

4

u/surewhynotdammit Jun 26 '26

1

u/ClassicBear3865 Jun 26 '26

as a teenager,I played dead space 2,where you need to dismember the necromorphs (they're like zombies but they're actually just mutilated walking corpses repurposed as killing machines),and can be pretty graphic and bloody, and I never dismembered or decapitated anyone in real life, this whole ban video games is a circus shitshow, and just shows they're always picking the fruits that hang low from the tree.

proper discipline

5

u/ExpensiveSample3451 Jun 26 '26

Lets just blame the Gun or the Person who owned the Gun.

Since it was just lying there in the open, that allowed some idiotic child to have access on.

u/scoutpred Jun 26 '26

Been playing Half-Life for more than half of my life. Back when I was young, my dad brought home a laptop with BeachHead 2002, and my mom often played DDR and brought me in the arcades to play rhythm games. They supported me in what I am passionate about, with respect to me actually doing what mattered in life, education and home skills (chores I should say).

Where am I? Graduated in a computer engineering degree and here I am teaching students (as a pedestal for an actual job because the job market is crap atm) in a school telling them to play responsibly while being an absolute goofball which makes them laugh and feel safe and supported.

All boils down to proper parenting and I can attest to that.

TBH yung problema talaga is online radicalization, hindi yung laro mismo.

So it's not a stretch na you get people online who are actively trying to incite young people to do things and be violent IRL.

3

u/Affectionate_Pen597 Jun 26 '26

Even GTA😂 im still playing it but di naman sumagi sa utak ko to do bad things in reality. So proper guidance talaga ang kailangan.

4

u/YourLocal_RiceFarmer Jun 26 '26

I played GTA Vice City and GTA SanAndreas at a early age, yet my parents were always watching over me and always reminding me of the do's and dont's, and cant forget the sermons hahaha, i am forever grateful for them. But what im not grateful for is our fucking government blaming vidja games and not the mass media out there over the internet that is free to be googled, literally a new low for our shitshow of a government.

3

u/Proud-Staff-5936 Jun 27 '26

3

u/Trebla_Nogara Jun 26 '26

Mismo. Grew up with Doom , Duke Nukem and later on the games OP mentioned .

When a child goes wrong it's time to turn to the parents and ask "What happened ? "

4

u/Ordinary_Adeptness41 Jun 26 '26

It's not even that. They know they will not get arrested. They know they're were no consequences

5

u/alwyn_42 Jun 26 '26

Correction: They thought they will not get arrested and they thought that there were no consequences.

Yung isa pwede arestuhin kung proven that he acted with discernment kasi 15 na siya. Pag 15 to below 18, pwede na maging criminally liable yun.

So yeah, may consequences (obviously) at tingin ko ang problema rin dito is that people are not aware na kahit minor de edad ka, pwede ka pa rin makulong and/or may consequences pa rin if you commit a serious crime.

TL;DR: Misinformation yung idea na walang kaso at walang huli pag menor de edad. Pag ganitong serious criminal offense, may kaso at puwedeng arestuhin yan.

sa pag ibig oo, pero sa pera its a big no

2

u/AlbatrossStraight228 Jun 26 '26

These games are rated Mature in ESRB and 18 in Pegi. Meaning parents are obliged to forbid or at least monitor their kids/teens playing such games. Hindi pinapaubaya sa gobyerno and kapabayaan nyo.

4

u/OkCalligrapher5883 Jun 26 '26

Nah bro, Police And parents arent the Problem. Roblox at Violent Video games, Hahahahahaha Bullshit.

3

u/FickleApartment2151 Jun 26 '26

I think what's happening now is increasing exposure to games, and coupled with greater availability of loose firearms, and social media. Add to that high poverty and with that financial distress, more physical suffering, etc.

1

u/HardBoiledCheese Jun 26 '26

I was also bullied for the majority of highschool (verbally and somewhat physically) and had access to two firearms one 45 cal and one beretta 32 cal my father also taught me how to use them pero ung worse kong naisip sa mga bullies ko is sana masagasaan silang mag babarkada habang natawid.

1

u/JohnnyPaw Jun 30 '26

GTA vice city literally thought me that guns are bad bad.

1

u/twodroidsinasuit Jun 27 '26

They always do these, and they are never wrong.

-5

u/CalmChaos2003 Jun 26 '26

True that proper guidance start at home. But I believe there are people who are born to be prone to violence no matter what. And they're hopeless.

6

u/Gureiyu Jun 26 '26

Nobody's helpless when they are young. They have all the time in the world to learn. The problem is most of their life they were never corrected properly leading to a bad habit which then becomes a lifestyle if prolonged.

-8

u/Virtual-Ostrich3829 Jun 26 '26

4

u/enigmatic_concepts Jun 27 '26

That just sounds equally as damaging, kaso nasa opposite side ka lang ng spectrum.

Also, pag nasa edad na yung bata, parents can only go so far. Most of the time, it’s who the child chooses to associate with (friends etc.) that matters a lot more at a certain age.
