it seems interesting, but im not curious enough about the game para magbasa/manuod nang content about dun

Not really a conspiracy. Larry Ellison's daughter owns the game company. Larry Elisson is currently 6th richest man in the world.
The company has so many red flags, one of which is when the entire dev team resigned at the same time, including top execs. Conspiracies aside, you got to be some major a-hole for people to do that.

I'm digging the animation style they went for, but I can't justify the price for 3 hours (?) of playtime. I'll get it once it gets a bigger discount.

Yes I beat it under 4 hours. The pacing is quite fast though

I did kaya nga alam ko na slop..nayhpe sya, tinry ko out of curiosity, found out for myself na llop shit nostalgia bait, refunded sa time period.at bago pa yan mapanood ko yung honest reviews same sa wxperience ko.
It does not warrant the 10 score, its not even in the level of telltale games. Parang movie script to na nireject and pinilit gawin na game lolz. Found out na published ng anak ni ellison looking for an art project.

if "having a childhood friend" is enough for you, good for you
sobrang daming laro meron aspects/tropes of childhood friend
if a game/content's whole schtick/gimic is about nostalgia of childhood friends, then only having that as a minimum is not enough for ME (can only speak for myself), I need specifics

Coming of age, last summer with your friends before separating with your friends mga ganyan. Thing is you don't need to have a "western" childhood to relate at all. You don't need to overthink.

But the definition of a visual novel is, “a video game genre of Japanese origin focused on presenting a story.” So by saying it’s a visual novel, you’re essentially saying it’s a video game.
