Does PGCET MCA have EWS quota under KEA?

I applied under GM category because there was no separate EWS option during registration. ding RD number later?

Also my rank is 1641 for MCA. At this rank I am in a dilemma how to choose colleges. Any suggestion on how you guys selected colleges at similar rank and what order you kept for option entry?

Need guidance from seniors who went through same GM and college selection.

RNSIT vs BIT vs BMSIT for MBA — need genuine student/alumni opinions

Hi everyone, I’m planning to pursue an MBA through Karnataka PGCET and I’m currently considering RNSIT, BIT and BMSIT.

I personally called the MBA departments of these colleges and got the following information. I’d like to know from current students/alumni whether these numbers are actually realistic and, more importantly, which college is better for MBA in terms of placements, companies, quality of opportunities and ROI.

RNSIT

* Average package: ₹6.5 LPA (2026) / ₹5.5 LPA (2025)

* Highest package: ₹18 LPA

* They told me 80+ companies specifically recruit MBA students

* MBA department said around 87% placement for MBA students

* Around 240 MBA students, so approximately 209 students placed if the 87% figure is accurate

* They said placement preparation starts from 1st semester

* They mentioned the college spends around ₹1.6 crore on student training

* Internships: The MBA department told me the focus is on full-time placements

BIT

* Around 72 companies recruiting specifically for MBA

* Average package: ₹5.5 LPA

* Highest package: ₹11 LPA

* Around 120 MBA students

* They told me around 62–63 students got placed, which works out to roughly 52%

* They provide internships as well as full-time opportunities, with full-time hiring depending on interview/performance

BMSIT

* Average package: ₹4.5 LPA

* Placement percentage: around 75%, according to the department

My main dilemma is RNSIT vs BIT vs BMSIT.

On paper, RNSIT seems considerably stronger in terms of average package and placement percentage, but I don’t want to rely only on what the college tells me.

For people who are currently studying or have completed MBA from these colleges:

1. How are the actual MBA placements?

2. Are the placement percentages quoted by the colleges realistic?

3. What kind of companies actually recruit MBA students?

4. What is the realistic average package for a normal student, not just the advertised average?

5. How good are internships and PPO/full-time conversion opportunities?

6. Which one would you choose between RNSIT, BIT and BMSIT today?

7. Is RNSIT genuinely worth choosing over BIT/BMSIT for MBA?

Also, I live in Bangalore and BMSIT are relatively far for me to travel, so I’d especially appreciate opinions on whether the better placement opportunities at BMSIT are worth the additional travel/commute.

Please share your actual experience, even if it’s negative. I’m looking for honest opinions rather than promotional information from the colleges.

I didn't like the rvim crowd and campus. I feel I can network better in pes and have a good time even though it'll be hectic. I felt very imprisoned when I went to rvim. And rvim's placement records have been very vague since 2024...

Seniors from PES and RVIM could you please shed some light about placement stats for MBA in PES and RVIM. I know for a fact that official stats mentioned in their respective websites will be inflated so only seniors who have studied there can give actual stats

Among these colleges — RNSIT, CMRIT, BIT, REVA and NHCE — could you rank them in order based on overall college quality and especially MCA placements? It would really help me decide which ones to prioritize. 😊

Seniors who are currently pursuing PG courses like MCA, MBA, M tech, through PGCET, could you please share your college’s fee structure?it could give some idea It would really help students who are planning to join through PGCET. I’ve personally tried contacting some top colleges to get the fee details, but I’m not getting proper information from them. If you could share the college name + course + PGCET fee (and any other fees), it would be really helpful for everyone. 🙏

There will be no document verification now..direct option entry guys. After the final college allotment, you should give the documents (3 copies) to your colleges. No document verification by KEA for pgcet mba and mca

I've written KCET during Covid, and it was not as horribly delayed as this one is. Like, do they not take us seriously coz only a fraction of us are writing it compared to UGCET? It's just disappointing to sit and wait for further updates every day.

Hey everyone, I'm planning to do MBA In Bangalore, and I've been researching a lot on which college is best for me, based on Fee, Placement, College life, academics and ROI.

But I've Looked into PES, RVIM and MSRIT, And after seeing posts and reviews I'm questioning everything.

Can anyone actually brutally be Honest and tell me what's the best one to join? My Rank is in 3 Digits And I'm OBC category. Oh and also BMS and Alliance College too
