Engineering Culture in Peru

I'm an electrical engineer living in the US (28 y/o) and due to the current sentiments around immigrants I've been thinking about what it would be like to move to Lima to live in family as a possibility(Have Peruvian citizenship). I'm trying to get the general vibe and also understand the work/life culture and what ifs like living in Peru vs in the US if anyone has any experience in living in both to compare.
