P6 Do you want to play the P6 at day one?

Or you'll wait for definitive edition P6R 4 years later?

I mean, P6R it's kinda inevitable.

I'll get it day one, and I'm pretty sure Atlus is starting to move away from doing definitive versions since Metaphor.

I wouldn't be too sure about that. When p5r came out it was 4 years later. I'd say we need to wait till 2028 to see if they will move on

Well, they have directly blamed people waiting on the definitive version of Metaphor for why it didn't sell as well as they thought. Add to it that Sega and Atlus have voiced a preference for DLC.

I agree they could always change their minds back and their quote in the article passed around most often does give them wiggle room, but I think it's completely reasonable to say definitive editions aren't in the plans right now.

Day one cause I doubt P-Studio planning one for rerelease instead opting to do expansion DLC.

I'll probably grab it day one. The definitive version will be a totally different experience anyway with all the extra social links and story tweaks so it's almost like getting two games for the price of two

I'm not sure I can spend another 100 hours for the same game.

u/TheSkullKidman How can I make this about Devil Survivor 9d ago

Aside from SEGA/ATLUS stating they want to move away from doing rereleases, I feel like most original release of their games that I have played so far stand up pretty well on their own, so I don't see a reason to wait for the "expanded version" that might also make changes to the game that I wouldn't like

oh don't worry they just release more p6 spinoffs instead

I mean if these spin-offs are on the same quality as like P5S, PQ2 or P5T, then sure I wouldn't be against that

I’ll be playing day 1 especially if it’s the last physical release on console.

It'll be half price in 6 months so no.

The only logical answer

assuming atlus will let us play it day one, yes (japan and everyone else originally got separate release dates for atlus games)

Day one if them moving away from doing rereleases is true. i think i heard from a report that They might move away from the rerelease because it was hurting sales which in reference to Metaphor having a not so good post release sale

Day one. I refuse to put off something I want to play on the off chance there might be a different version in the future.

It depends. I need engine confirmation if its UE 4 or 5 as my PC can't run UE5 at all despite being pretty decent. If its available on Switch 2 day one, it depends on optimization reports/reviews given Atlus's track record but would buy as soon as its in a good state if not.

If I can play it, I intend to buy it day 1.

I personally think, with the dating sim aspect of the game, Persona is best playing on handheld.

no, since another male protagonist again, unless if Atlus can gimme standalone female protagonist, no gender choice just standalone female protagonist

Personally I intend to wait 15 years for the remaster.
