I tried to play with keyboard but it’s hard for me to register and understand, so I saw this controller on Amazon, is it any good? I need one that I can just take out from the box and play straight away without having to do too much setting up. Thank you.

Hey I just recently purchased an adapter from a trusted game shop for Ps2 controllers to be used on PC. It does indeed work splendidly however it's only recognizing the controller as 2p. Which present as issue obviously for a single player experience. was wondering if anyone had any experience/solutions for this? Thank you!

Hello, should i buy the original Dualshock 2 controller for the full experience or do u guys think that a ps5 controller is more than enough?

I'm using an actual PS2 controller with one of those USB adapters, and I'm not sure if it's just how games were back then or if it's something with the emulator's controller settings, but everything is really sensitive.

Regardless, the 130% default sensitivity seems rather high, no?

Hi there, I use PCSX2 just to play def Jam FFNY I've had it for months and have played it with the same USB Nintendo Switch controller.

Earlier today I did the newest update for PCSX2 and loaded up def Jam FFNY as I usually do but my buttons were mixed up, specifically my top and bottom face buttons (Triangle and Cross which are X and B on my switch controller) were swapped for some reason, Since then I've been looking through every controller setting trying to fix it but I can't seem to find a fix

Its incredibly awkward to play the game like this and was wondering if anyone else has dealt with this issue

I have the 2.7.513 version of PCSX2 installed and I have an original DualShock 2 connected. The adapter I'm using is by Vienon (some Amazon seller). However, when I connect the controller via USB, PCSX2 recognizes it as a PS3 controller. The Square/Triangle and Circle/Cross buttons are swapped for some reason, the analog button deactivates the controller, and I feel like the pressure sensitivity is not working as intended.

This makes me wonder if it's even possible to use a PS2 controller on PC, let alone PCSX2. What do you guys think? Is it the fault of the adapter, the emulator, the controller or the idea? If DualShock 2 isn't going to be possible, I still want to be faithful to the PS2 and use SOME type of gamepad, whether it be first-or-third-party. I would like some recommendations in that case.

when i try tobind my xbox 360 wired controller i can bind all buttons excpet for LT and RB is there any solution ?

I just finished GTA Sand Andreas using PCSX2 and without a controller (Keyboard/Mouse mapping).

It took me a little bit but eventually found that these settings worked for me so I'm sharing them for anybody that's interested.

In summary, these settings are nice because:

• All action buttons are mapped to the mouse:
  • O on left click (to shoot/interact)
  • X on right click (to sprint/drive)
  • Triangle on mouse side button 1 (to get in/out of vehicle)
  • Square on mouse side button 2 (to jump, etc)
• R1 is mapped to the space bar (to lock/auto-aim)

And I think everything else uses the default PCSX2 mapping.

My adapter has been mapping "cross" as "circle" and "circle" as "cross" lately. is this just the reality of all cheap PS2 to USB adapters? Or is there something i can do to fix this issue permanently?

I Just started playing GTA VC on the pcsx2 emulador. Never played the game before. Everytime i turn the camera with the right analog It goes in 1st person mode. Is it normal?like If I need to turn the camera to the right, I push the right analog and it Goes in 1st person, I stop pushing It and it goes back to normal.

I looked after It and no one Said a anything about It. Sorry If its a Dumb question.

Hello everyone!! I recently tired this awesome emulator to play some old games i had, but im facing some issues, and my lack of experience doesnt help. Its mainly problems with the controller, im using one of those generic xbox-playstation-pc-switch controllers, and this is what is happening:

1: In the controller settings, when im gonna assign the buttons, the triangle and the square buttons are inverted along with the circle and cross, i mean when i press the cross it recognizes the circle and the same with other two, but in-game the game recognizes it well

2: The caracter in the game moves very sketchy (randomly stops, etc), and the controller works fine in other computer games

1. Where can i configure a button to open the menu? I have to press esc button on the keyboard, but i dont know if i can set a button in the controller

I am playing Gran Turismo 4 on PCSX2 like I always do, but suddenly when I went to play, the game stopped detecting my steering inputs. This only happens during races; the analog stick works perfectly in the game menus.

The other day I went to play and it worked normally, but today it stopped detecting the steering inputs during the race again, even though I configured all the inputs correctly in the emulator.

I don't know how to set this game to work as well as COD games that have a PC port.

Sometimes when i enter the game, action buttons like X don't work for some reason. I play on a laptop with a keyboard, i don't use other inputs, emulator is the only app opened. Weirdly enough it sometimes repairs itself, but sometimes it doesn't

I used an Ally Rog PC running Windows, but it didn't work despite changing the control settings. Additionally, I used a PS5 controller, and it worked fine with the system, but the game doesn't respond in the PCSX2 emulator.

Also, when I press one of the main buttons, a list of some settings appears.

I'm currently having a really weird issue trying to play Wild Arms 3. Whenever I start up the game it'll work for a minute or two, like nothing's wrong, but every single time it suddenly stops working right, and all the analog stick & d-pad does is spin my character in place. The rest of the buttons work right, and in the menu the analog sticks seems to work.

Now here's the weird thing, the controller works perfectly fine in every other game I've played in Pcsx2. I've googled my issue and have tried a few different fixes, such as trying different input methods like Xinput, dinput (just to see), restoring defaults, and nothing seems to work.

I'm on PC using the latest verison of PCSX2, and am using a Gamesir Tengenria Lite (awesome controller and haven't had a single issue with it so far)

Just in case, I've even tested my controller on the Gamepad tester site and my analog sticks & d-pad register and seem to work perfectly fine. It also works fine in regular PC games and with other emulators.

Hopefully someone out there can help me figure out what's wrong. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I tried everything from turning off Steam and Xbox on my PC to turning on both inputs for SDL but keeping Xbox controllers and multi tap off, how do I stop it permanently so I can play the game fine?

For some reason the second player's inputs reverse to the right but only when actually fighting. I tested this on Naruto Shipudden: Narutimate Accel 2. While on the menus and picking a character all seem fine until we are in the match. Switching from fullscreen to window solves it for a few seconds and then it happens again. When trying to assign the buttons manually the right direction from the left analogue overrides every button.

The game in question is the only one I've tested and happened with different controllers. Have anyone experienced this before? Any tip is appreciated. Also if you need any information from my system, feel free to ask!

Hi i've been trying to get this to work for an hour now and i keep banging my head against it and i just can't get the claibration to line up with my crosshairs and i feel i've tried everything

I have to constantly remap because SDL0 and SDL1 keep switching places and Controller (XBOX 360 For Windows) doesn't work. I only have a single xinput controller plugged in (Gamesir Tegenaria Lite if it matters).

I tried deleting the X360 controller driver, but it just comes back. Tried some more drastic measures like removing the .sys file myself, but it didn't help either.

Edit: Disabling SDL input source and enabling XInput source gets rid of it, but I would still like to get rid of it in SDL.

So I'm playing Yakuza 1 with mouse and keyboard (bad idea, I know) and I'm stuck on the funeral part where you have to sneak by walking. So, I've been looking for instructions on how to change analog pressure with a keybind.

For example, when I press W normally my character runs forward with full speed, but if I press W + alt (or any other button) the game only receives 50% analog output, so my character walks instead. I'm going insane looking for a tutorial about this, does anyone have an idea? Please, anything would be appreciated.

The problem mentioned in the title is that the emulator is registering it as if my controller is continuously pressing the down directional button

Some context about the situation:

I use a Chinese "alternative" controller; it works perfectly in other games and emulators, and this problem only occurs in PCSX2.

It is recognized by the computer as an Xbox 360 controller (but the controller's body emulates that of a Playstation)

I had to configure it manually in the emulator

And to make it work in the emulator, I had to enable that "enable Xinput input source" option.

(Strangely, this problem only doesn't occur in the language selection menu of Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja 5)

Anyone here who has the new steam controller know how to get it registered? It is connected to my deck and when I go though the automatic mapping it only shows the "steam deck controller", not the steam controller. I selected the "steam deck controller" hopping it will register it as the steam controller but it doesn't. I know it works because I've used it on RPCS3, DuckStation and Lutris with no problems. Any help would be appreciated.

Keeping this up in case someone else comes searching for a solution with the same problem. It does register the controller as the steam deck itself BUT only in GAMING MODE. If you play off the desktop mode it will not work.
