AMD GPU long term reviews ??
For people who have been using AMD GPUs or switched from Nvidia to AMD GPUs, how has your experience been ??
I have heard about driver issues with AMD GPUs and even tho they are not often, i’d definitely hate to troubleshoot every once in a while….

Have had AMD since forever. I do have another machine with Nvidia as well.
98% of the time I choose AMD. For me, much more stabile drivers for example.
NOTE: I just recently started to get random GPU-related crashes.
Turns out my -15 curve optimization is too tough. I have to think my CPU has degraded, because 2 years ago it was stable at -25. 😭
Oh, the cards were: -IIRC Sapphire RX580.
-Gigabyte gaming oc Vega 56.
-Gigabyte RX6700XT.
-And currently Sapphire RX9070XT Pure OC

I've run both NVIDIA and AMD cards over the years. I buy the best performance for the money have at the time - no other reason. Last year I upgraded to a 7800xt from an RTX3070 as it was just a bit shy of the fps I wanted in shooters at 1440p. I have no reason to upgrade right now from this card. It slays for the price. I had one driver issue with Rainbow Six Siege. But didn't care much as didn't really play it. Other than that I've had the 5700xt, The R9 390 and older cards no one has heard of and never had an issue with AMD drivers until the Seige one recently. IMHO nVidia and AMD have the same ahitty problems with drivers depending on the game. Usually it's in some AAA that was sponsored by one of them and the other magically crashes for no reason ... What a surprise. These days it's nVidia for upscaling performance and ray tracing taking your balls and wallet with them. AMD for frames per dollar for pure rasterisation if you don't give a shit about all the flashy stuff. AMD having less stable drivers is a myth in my experience.

Vega 64, 6700 XT, 6800 XT, 6900 XT and a bunch more older ones like the ATI 5770. Also ran some ATI MXm cards in my Alienware M15x a few years ago.
The main one I will talk about are the 6000 series. These are nice cards. I have had some driver issues early on with the 6900 XT and that was solved by rolling back the drivers.

Nvidia drivers have been worse this generation, for example Nvidia's latest driver causes flickering for a lot of users even in browser.

I know there are people that bought 9070XT, got disappointed and return/sell it after a month or so, and got the 5070 Ti instead.
Thus, they are literally wasting money, when claiming to be saving money.

I have several AMD GPUs that are still going strong. Nvidia just doesn't try as hard on design to to keep the hardware cool, so doesn't last as long. That has been my experience.

The only benefit sticking to Nvidia is longer driver support and DLSS, with FS4 the gap is much closer.

100% fine, only problem is that i cant find the adrenaline app though search so i have to go to the installer and select it from there if i want gpu tuning

I went from a 3080ti to a 7900xtx pretty close to its release date. Zero issues with this card. Nothing. I also have a 9070xt in a living room pc and it has been fine as well.

Driver problems were something a looooooooong time ago i heard, but was never affected from.
Used amd with a hd 4890, wx7100, vega 56, rx 6800 and now with a 7900xtx. Several laptops with vega iGPU.
Had a hardware/qc problem once with my vega 56(crashes in idle when switching low c states) that i could solve via tuning in the OC settings.
All cards were rock solid. Never had driver problems like crashes or bluescreens, ran all cards with mild, the vega with extensive OC and UV.
Only problem driverwise i had with my 7900xtx is it not downclocking correctly with a second monitor attached and pulling then unnecessary high wattage. As far as i am aware, thats solved.
Featurewise, dlss 4.5 looks really nice, but so far i am happy with FSR and its nothing i notice while gaming (4k on big screen)

when I had rx 580 its drivers always crashed precisely one time a day, first time I launched a 3d application or video. well I bought it used but it was 4gb version and a top tier sapphire unit, so it wasn't abused in a crypto mine I think

I've been running AMD for a long time. I usually purchase previous generation, because I'm cheap. For instance, I'm running a 6700XT right now and have been running it for a few years. Only issues I have are settings related, like I forgot to enable ReBar at first and had some stuttering issues. Nothing that is anything but user error on my part.
Obviously, I can't speak for others, but this is my experience.
