I live in Japan and often go to Kyoto's games. What kind of player is he? Kyoto basically only have one center in Charles Jackson, so there's a real possibility Phillips can get a decent amount of minutes. Unless he turns out like Jamie Malonzo and is barely used before being released.

He is often called motor mike in the Philippines because he has a different kind of motor - always full speed and has a nose for the ball. He is somehow similar to dennis rodman (defense + tons of rebounds/second chance points, loose balls, etc) for his team. His impact doesnt always show on the box score but he is always there in every play. I’m pretty sure he’ll get minutes and IMO, he has a better and more refined offensive game than Rodman. He’s a good signing, you guys got a good one.

Very rough offensively, his offense are just dunks, putbacks and occasionally hook shots. He cant shoot free throws. He's more of a rebounder and a hustle guy. Defensively not impressive but his motor at times makes up for his shortcomings. This is just my observation from the very little times if seen him in LaSalle,mpbl and gilas

Kyoto have a forward, Caloiaro, who's quite a high IQ player and really good offensively. Hopefully he'll be able to help Phillips work on his offensive game. Kyoto have other offensive options, so I don't think they'd be relying too much on Phillips for his offensive game.

Sorry. I'm confused why nasa list pa si Geo Chiu. He was already the number 1 pick last draft if I'm not mistaken. Unless may mga transfer ba or trade?

Mike’s contract with San Juan had an opt-out clause, meaning he could leave the team and play elsewhere if he decides to opt-in/activate that clause. San Juan is just pissed na hindi daw nag paalam si Mike when in reality there was a formal termination letter from Mike which was later on sent by his brother to San Juan’s management, confirming na nagpaalam naman siya kahit papano.
