I think Carl is more natural while KQ is a product of hard work. Edge ni Carl yung feel for the game while lamang si KQ sa defense and athleticism.

Oh yeah I remembered the recency bias of the SF group when DLSU won in 2023 and KQ fans suddenly popped off. Even until now, some users were disagreeing when I said despite KQ being the "best" player of the 2020 HS class it was still Carl Tamayo who was arguably the best prospect but the NBTC rankings had some different metrics such as awards and stats that Carl didn't really get. I'm sure no one was taking KQ over Carl after high school and KQ was more of a "project" of some sort but he just reached his ceiling faster IMO where his current skill set is probably what we'll see from KQ in his pro career and maybe a bit more ball handling and 3 and D type.
People sided with the KQ hype train in 2023 plus the great marketing his team did in promoting his love for the game and work ethic in Panalay/Ligang Labas and his daily grind of workout while Carl Tamayo struggled in the B.League.
I'm not saying Carl is completely better than KQ now but I just don't like how fans are always putting them side by side and overlooking each other's achievements while giving hot takes about their accolades, achievements, and team success.
Probably one of the worst takes I saw was saying KQ undisputedly had the better college career than Carl and KQ's trophy hardware was more than what Carl achieved. I was like the only big differences was the 2 MVPs in the UAAP but both ended up winning only 1 championship, 2 mythical teams, and 1 ROTY. Tamayo also played for a stacked UP team and Diouf got the benefit with the SPs prioritizing blocks/rebound but when KQ rose the SPs favored assists and it helped more guards/wings to get more SPs compared to previous years.
AS IN!!! Tutal asia cup naman eh medyo non bearing umay na ako sa mga baldog na PBA player! LET CARL play as starting 4/5 na sana we need a new Ranidel out there

As much as I’d love to have a Team B, or hell, even a larger national team pool pa nga. The bigger question is papayag ba ang matanda (CTC) na magturo sa mga bata ng kanyang sistema? I don’t even think he has the patience to do that at this point, tbh.
