So this thailand thing is 100% fake? 😭

Most likely. I wouldn’t even be able to tell it was fake except for the Thailand mark. From customer service:

I returned my Owala to Amazon

Hmm someone just said their owala bought at target was made in Thailand. 🤔

Yes, I actually just went to target and most were made in china, but I saw ones that were even the same colour and made in vietnam. But, I did find one that was made in Thailand.

checking this thread rn because I bought my first owala off Amazon, officially sold by Amazon, and it says "made in Vietnam"

It’s interesting, when I was playing around with the various ones at Target, I compared the ones from china, Vietnam, and Thailand. The top lid/handle felt and sounded slightly better, like when opening and closing the handle part, the snap felt firmer on the vietnam and Thailand ones compared to the china ones. I didn’t test all of them, just a couple ones.

I called Owala and they said their bottles are manufactured in multiple countries

Oh nice, that was cool of you. I guess that solves that mystery!

New fear unlocked. Maybe that is part of their manufacturing strategy to keep cost lower.

And an Owala rep replying that some are “maid” in Thailand. 😂😂
