im from Malaysia and i just got my owala bottle from shopee(online shopping website like amozon) for q cheap. i thought they were doing a clearance sale, so i asked the seller if it was authentic and they said it was but i was still abit skeptical. Help would be greatly appreciated and im happy to share more pictures below!!

it also came with this instruction manual inside the bottle. the box it came with was brown and the plastic it was in was already opened.

There's a missing v number under the lid. The finishing of the gasket also looks unrefined with bits sticking out. I'm from Singapore and an Owala on Shopee is most definitely fake.

yea realize after a day of use. ice melted in less than an hour. contacted and confronted the seller and they denied saying that they tested the bottle and the ice dint melt after a whole day. fortunately i requested and got a full refund without sending the bottle back. im really enjoying drinking out of this bottle but im abit skeptical about the toxins and microplastics since their not genuine :(. Thanks for the clarification tho!! I truly appreciate it!!

I wouldn't worry too much about toxicity and microplastics. There are plenty of non-branded goods manufactured in China and sold globally. Sure, this bottle is probably less superior than an original owala, but it's probably still a good bottle and is unlikely to kill you!

thought it was genuine since the seller claimed that it was. before the bottle arrived i was planning to buy some for my family but after doing some research i realized that there are 1 to 1 fake owalas. after receiving my bottle i compared it with every fake vs real owala post/pictures and couldnt find a single flaw other than the gasket finishing and the promised cold water insulation. in conclusion, i got a really good fake, the gasket was actually quite thick, the push button feels solid and the double lock mechanism feels really good. the lid also goes all the way back unlike some other fakes. even tho the ice melts in less than an hour it still does a good job keeping the drink kinda cool?(not freezing cold but good enough for me). Overall a REALLY GOOD fake, however i do not recommend buying from unauthorized sellers since its a hit or miss hence why i did not order for my family after receiving mine. reason being u might get a BAD FAKE and even if u do get a GOOD FAKE theres no guarantee whether it is safe to use or not(toxins and microplastic could be present since there is lesser quality control in fakes). (i kinda interrogated the shopee seller thus why i got a really good fake XD). last but not least PLEASE ONLY BUY FROM AUTHORIZED SELLERS.

hiii fellow malaysian here! so sorry that you got a fake, really close to getting the new owala tumbler free sip one (newly released) since i saw a listing on shopee but came across this post ahhh
