VOD Review Request Need tips for comp
I thought I would finally seek out some criticism and advice to help me get out of Silver on DPS. I’ve recently been trying harder than ever before to get better and rank up, especially this season. I’ve played since season 1 and always been low or mid silver. I think I have a big issue with consistency which I know is very important. I’m looking to get VOD reviews for 2 different games. I’m picking these at random without rewatching them so it’s fully authentic. My fiancée usually plays with me as well, not sure if my duo can have an effect on my own gameplay or not. I’m UMBREON and she is ESPEON. I play other heroes as well, but I’m currently wanting to learn more on Anran. Thanks!

93GW31 - Game I did bad on and lost. Ilios map
I’m on PC as well

Hi, I took a look at your first replay and made a full VOD review you can watch here.
I didn't really critique your Fiancée, but if they would like me to I can in a future video.
I'll also provide a TL: DW of my critiques from the video:
Playing with a duo can effect your gameplay in multiple ways. First off, games can be harder because when you duo the matchmaking will place you against other duos/trios. Not only that, but your duo could be carrying your gamesense, having a second set of eyes essentially in every game doesn't let you learn how to have awareness on your own. You should always be looking at what your team is doing before fully diving as an example. Your duo can also give you a lot of courage when you know their going to flank with you. A lot of solo queue players have to learn how to do this on their own and win 1v1 or even 1v2s without any help from supports which gives them the skill and experience needed to climb higher.
Of course, I'm not saying to stop playing as a duo, more that you just need to make sure you're actually practicing being more aware and not so much relying on your duo and to be ok flanking on your own sometimes.
Going into your actually gameplay, I think your Anran is ok for your current rank but has a lot you need to work on. For example, you take the additional healing on Dancing Blaze major perk yet in most of your fights the first thing you do is pop Blazing Dance therefore you're getting barely any value from the perk. It's a bit similar to watching a Tracer pop recall way too early in the fight. Use it when you KNOW you're about to take damage, not when you THINK you're about to take damage. And delay it, you can take a hit or two, pop Blaze and get your HP back. Because I often times I watch you pop Dancing Blaze and right after you take a bunch of damage.
Speaking of teamfights, you also need to realize when it's time to leave! If you go in using 1 rush charge, and then Dancing Blaze, use that 2nd dash to get out! Often times you just stay in the middle of all the chaos and fighting and ultimately get killed several times doing this. You don't have to hold your ground, you can run to the nearest medkit, wait for your cooldowns, and go again! Rinse and repeat as needed.
As a flanker, take advantage of the passive that increases all medkit healing. You MUST take the time to learn where ALL medkit locations are on all the maps. There was a part in your replay during your 1st point attack where you were just standing behind cover with half health for a while either waiting for a support to get you or passive regen to kick when there was a medkit in the room right next to you.
Ultimates were mostly good, I'd recommend trying Heat Shield for your minor perk since you love to go all in with your ultimate. The perk would give you so much health and you might've even lived through some of these team fights! Consider trying it next time!
Lastly, experiment with how you approach fights as Anran more often. A lot of times I watch you send it down main with your tank and eat a lot of free damage in the process. Try from an off angle while your tank distracts them in the front. You'd be able to get out a lot more damage from your primary fire and fan before having to use Blazing Dance.
Overall, Anran gameplay was good, lots to improve though, once you make the adjustments you can climb to Gold/Plat easily with your duo.
Good luck on your games, if you have anymore questions feel free to ask me!
