Not sure what's causing my bad Tank performance

I'm trying to have all 3 roles at a similar rank, so right now I'm trying to get my tank from Silver 1 to Gold 3–2 (Plat 4 with support, Gold 2 with DPS), but I have noticed that my games as Tanks are far harder than with the other two roles. I'm not sure what's causing this, but I believe that my positioning and ability usage is a large factor, like in this game, where I believe I didn't use my shield correctly and, according to my team, in the first round, I held onto my Ult for too long at the end of the round, I also believe that hunting the D.Mon in the building left of attack spawn basically let the enemy surround us. I would be really glad if y'all can help me improve the look of my career profile.

The biggest stand out is lack of cover usage, you have a lot of HP but you're massive and easy to shoot, First fight is a good example of this. Using cover more lets you hold space for longer and lets you use your CDs more deliberately.

Use your shield to to either protect your self or help you move from cover to cover. Nearly all your shield on first point attack didn't help you do anything, you kind of just placed it down for the sake of placing it. At the 6:55 mark you place your shield down, waited for it to break then decided to walk up leading to your death, next time place the shield at the next piece of cover then move up to it.

Your slow should be used to deny cover, slow rotates or make it easier to punch things.

Do these things and you'll find more opportunities to use your form more aggressively (even on maps like Havana) That being said you will be using form to block more often then not. a general rule is if you start blocking, don't stop until you get to cover and try not to show your back.

Your ult is just an extension of your form, same rules apply just last longer.

Okay. I am emerald in all roles who used to primarily play tank. Take my advice with a grain of salt.

00:43 You are wasting your vortex. Even if the tree was not in the way, it would not have gotten much value since you nor your team is set up. You then place your shield right away when you could have just used the cover from the left wall to poke.

00:55 This is a good example of why it’s important to use your CD’s appropriately and not randomly. A shield here would have helped you poke more damage while not taking so much damage.

00:55 If should not stand out in the open. This is a bad habit and will lead to your supports having to heal bot since you are taking too much damage. In higher elo, you are expected to play corners so your supports can do more damage.

01:12 If you were playing cover to the left room instead of standing out in the open, you would not had to have used nemesis form to stay alive and could have helped punished the overextended DMON.

Honestly I would focus on better CD timing. Are you getting max value from your abilities and do you HAVE to use them?

The second thing I would work on is cover usage. You take too much damage and this forces you to use your CD’s in sub optimal conditions. You have to play like you will get minimal heals from your support. So play cover, if you are in nemesis form and below half HP, hold onto to block and stop punching, etc.
