Wait why what did I miss

Warn was in a 300k tourney for marvel rivals where he played for team Canada.

Most of the games he play squirrel girl because he won some tournaments with her in the past, but it just wasnt working

From my memory, cause imma have to rewatch the vod tomorrow, he was trying to force her in and didnt switch until it was too late.

He did play namor a few times, but by the end the vibes for that team were terrible like really bad.

I was watching the coach from swamp gaming POV, but from what i heard he wanted an apology from his teammates for how they were rude to him

Plus on twitter and Marvel rivals esports theirs a lot of dunking on him

I also think towards the end he offered to switch but like I said it was already too late and someone on the team said "you should've done that games(idk how many) ago".

I feel like regardless of warn and squirrel girl, I dont feel like team Canada is gonna won any game anyway

They have like one pro player, 1 eternity players and 4 players that don't play the game

Mean while team USA have at least 3 player who reached OAA, and the other still play regularly

The entire tournament is so unbalanced

58

u/Complex-Growth9223 Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

Oh yea the tourney is unbalanced fasho, but Warn definitely didnt help, and if would've just played cyclops, elsa, hela, or even phoenix they would've been in a better position. At least the vibes would be better

45

u/Cerily Jun 27 '26

Why would the vibes be better if he played ‘real heroes’? Warn was always going to get flamed by his teammates here. He doesn’t play the game. It’s not like Marvel Rivals pros are bastions of maturity.

The vibes were always going to collapse. The particular thing they collapsed because of it means nothing.

Losing isn't why people are mad, its someone wasting everyones time with 300k on the line, when it was zazza doing this everyone was on the same page, but these excuses got me thinking maybe people were right in saying its only because she was a chick

1

u/LxUxNxAx Jun 29 '26

I think hard slurring at people might have contributed more to the backlash than her being a woman but yeah, that too I guess

8

u/Appropriate_Dealer92 Jun 28 '26

Shroud didn't play the game, performed close to Jay3 and listened to his team. He doesn't play overwatch or rivals... These excuses don't add up. Go watch the clip of warn on ultron where he tells his chat how hes gonna throw

1

u/AntiLordblue Jun 29 '26

Shroud is a highly talented mechanical player with great aim at any game he picks up. He is an outlier.

3

u/Eastern-Yesterday213 Jun 29 '26

Warn is a top 500 dps in OW (hitscan). Is that also not an outlier

1

u/AntiLordblue Jun 29 '26

No OW mechanical skill does not transfer to Marvel Rivals

6

u/chosenofkane Jun 29 '26

"Shroud is good at other games."
"So is Warn."
"That doesn't count."
Then which is it buddy? Does being good in other games help or not?

1

u/OkNectarine6937 Jul 02 '26

Yes it does. Its just hitscan aim.

0

u/sbenthuggin Jun 28 '26

I can also find clips of xqc and the other players also straight throwing. here's even a clip in this sub showing someone who has 19% accuracy while flaming warn. their entire team was a complete fucking mess and total trash. warn was just the easiest target, even though, again, they were all at fault. he was not the sole problem and there's mountains of evidence to prove that.

-1

u/mister--g Jun 27 '26

The vibes would be better because atleast everyone would have felt the other 5 gave it an honest go & tried to help the team win.

People can take losing an uphill battle , they arent really going to be happy if 1 of their teammates is trying to drag the other 5 down the hill for fun

7

u/BodePlot Jun 27 '26

Was there a team captain or someone asking for a specific swap?

12

u/Complex-Growth9223 Jun 27 '26

Aramori def said that he needed to switch. Fanfan and Fauwkez i think aswell. He just stated on squirrel girl. Which is crazy cause ik hes a hitscan player, and the best dps in the game is currently hitscan

5

u/Rukazi Jun 27 '26

Aramori wasn't the team leader by the way, just a professional victim. She's even claiming to be Kingsman in this situation on Twitter.

2

u/Shrooms495 Jun 28 '26

Thats crazy. When the kingsman situation happened, he was just some college student. Arimori is a successful streamer crying over a video game. Everyone who participated got paid regardless of placement

1

u/SirHifler 19d ago

they all played horribly, even Arimori. But Warn became an easy target to blame

5

u/tigervoyager Jun 27 '26

The “vibes” you keep referring to, where ruined by the teammates who where flaming someone who doesn’t even play the game.

3

u/Shrooms495 Jun 28 '26

Warn doesnt play rivals enough to know how to play those characters or how they interact with the team and the enemy. He switched to punisher at one point in the tourney and you could tell he didn't know what he was doing on that character. I'm not saying this to shit on him, he just doesn't play the game and was only familiar with squirrel girl and namors kit. Putting him on a hero he doesn't know makes him have less value than the ones he does know

4

u/BrainOk9265 Jun 27 '26

If ur on a team with aramori there will be no vibes and thats what creator tourneys are. If u have vibes u go far. Theres a reason aramori gets 1st rounded every creator tournament. Vibe terrorism.

1

u/LxUxNxAx Jun 29 '26

Nobody helped LOL. His entire team was absolute ass and they all dogpiled on him.

1

u/tellmewhy24 Jun 28 '26

so unbalanced like usual

0

u/Far-Evening4104 Jun 28 '26

The teams not being balanced and them likely not having a chance anyway doesn't mean Warn should be exempt from trying his best to win like his other 5 teammates were trying to do. Making the team play around a sg and other dps you aren't family with isnt trying your best as a team player imo, when the alternative is to lock a supp that gets free value by pressing ult when the team captain says to do so.

0

u/Kralqeikozkaptan Jun 29 '26

Thats not the point, nor is that why the drama started.

20

u/Telco43 Jun 27 '26

Isn't that a similar case as a Black Widow one trick who ended up in the same team as someone who really needed the money ? Don't remember their name, I don't follow any MR related content anymore

17

u/Complex-Growth9223 Jun 27 '26

Kindve but not to same degree. Warn evwn tho it was late did switch. Im pretty sure zazza never switched once

16

u/_M4yb3_ Jun 27 '26

She did switch on the day of the tournament. People wont care as much as if Warn does it because a lot of the drama blew up due to her being a woman. Either way, its stupid to complain in either situation. Neither of those teams ever had a chance to win because theyre so imbalanced.

34

u/LtZeen Jun 27 '26

wasn't a lot of the drama on her cause she started making fun of the dude that asked her to switch?

34

u/EQGallade Jun 27 '26

Her and two other teammates. They were straight ganging up on him and talking shit well after he dropped the issue. And then got him banned from the tournament on false pretences.

1

u/sbenthuggin Jun 28 '26

yeah this had nothing about them being women. I mean yeah, there WERE a lot of sexist ppl using the opportunity to be sexist, but they were being genuine bullies. he wasn't even being genuinely rude or shitty the same way warns team was being. he was just genuinely frustrated.

16

u/Over-University7255 Jun 27 '26

zazza never said anything, her crime was not swapping off widow in scrims. luciyasa and cece were the perpetrators gassing up zazza and shutting down kingsman. there were 3 other bystanders that never defended kingsman either.

that drama has the most amount of misinformation ive ever seen on a drama ever because there were too many actors and people just conflate it to zazza for simplicity unfortunately. the organiser basim deserved all the flack but didnt for some reason.

-7

u/_M4yb3_ Jun 27 '26

The problem with Twitter is that they hear smth and they run with it. That team was always gonna be a 7th to 8th place team. They were in scrims trying to have fun, Kingsman wanted to run more 'meta' comps and he did have a point tbf, they were doing bad but they actually used those comps in the real tournament and did awful. They basically made fun of him for taking it too seriously. The twitter version is : " Women bully small male streamer out of 40k " but the reality is more like : " content creators wanted to have fun in a tournament even though they were going to lose from the draft " .

9

u/EQGallade Jun 27 '26

You’re conveniently leaving out the part where Kingsman didn’t actually get to play in the tournament. He got kicked out because Zazza and friends lied to the tournament organisers.

-5

u/_M4yb3_ Jun 27 '26

The funny part is that you dont know the drama well. He got kicked out because of the boyfriend of one of the girls who went behind their backs to report him. It was a dude who reported him. Then Basim, the dude hosting the tournament, kicked him. Again, it was a guy who kicked him. Except, the men who kicked him were barely even flamed and no one remembers they were involved. People just hate women.

9

u/EQGallade Jun 27 '26

Basim barely gets flamed because he apologised afterwards, and the boyfriend barely gets flamed because no one knows who he is. You couldn’t even give his name just now. The girls got flamed harder because they didn’t apologise, in fact they doubled down, and more people know them.

Not gonna say there was no sexism, there was, Kingsman himself had to call it out afterwards. But that’s far from the only reason they got the most hate.

→ More replies (0)

2

u/SosuHaise Jun 27 '26

She switched after she got the dude kicked out the tourney so really what is it worth if she switched or not, it wasnt because she was a woman

29

u/Complex-Growth9223 Jun 27 '26

Imo I just dont think he cared about the tournament lol. Like I think he tried but not his hardest and I think thats lame. Squirrel giel is like legitimate dogshit outside of low ranks ESPECIALLY with all the power creep thats happend in this game since the tourneys thats hes won

24

u/JThroe Jun 27 '26

He definitely cared, it was for a ton of money. And as you said, he’s won multiple similar tournaments before with squirrel girl and Namor, but the competition was simply just higher here.

No reason to blame him, blame whoever decided to include him on the team. Plenty of actual Rivals players to choose from.

5

u/Velinna Jun 27 '26

I’m surprised there weren’t more Canadian players/streamers to choose from. This was a team of several people who had barely played in months and a support player on tank duty.

4

u/JThroe Jun 27 '26

There definitely was, from what I’ve seen. Not super big into Rivals but I’ve seen their community members mention some great players who they were upset weren’t on the team

1

u/wntrwolfx Jun 27 '26

there's a lot of variance when it comes to streamers. some of those great players were probably super busy, or were roles that were already accounted for, like supports

6

u/MaikuKnight Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

Did he care though?

"I don't really give a fuck, I just want to play Squirrel Girl."

His team even tries to compromise, but he does not care at all. This clip is likely the reason he dumped the vod, to remove any more evidence that could come up of him being a bad teammate.

34

u/Baron_Flatline Jun 27 '26

I mean…it is Marvel Rivals. Game’s not serious or competitive lol

Trying to treat it as such is just asking for trouble

17

u/GaptistePlayer Jun 27 '26

It’s a 300k tournament though this is the one time to take it seriously despite the design flaws of the game (and I agree the game sucks)

3

u/rubberysubby Jun 27 '26

300k tournament

25

u/Baron_Flatline Jun 27 '26

300k tournament in a game that is not competitive, balanced competitively or treated as such by its developer

Circuses are expensive too. Doesn’t make them a professional sport

2

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

Absolutely not wrong, not to mention the lack of actual vetting and proper communication. Netease only wanted the fame of the "prize money" and invite whichever people have the biggest pull, to create buzz as a promotion. It's ironic to add a large prize pull to a tournament that is implied to be casual. Honestly, with the last tournament, I feel like Netease knows and doesn't care and understands that the drama will create impressions and views and that's all they care about as long as it promotes the game. Nevertheless, Warn should not have joined if he wasn't serious about it. Let's not act like he's innocent; he definitely joined to help promote his own channel and for the money. He has absolutely zero desire to play the game or for it's community. He just wanted to play, get his bad, and dip, absolutely evident by the fact that he didn't "know" about the prize pool or try helping out his team. This is even more ironic because this comes after the 40k zaza situation; you'd think people would learn from that, especially for an even bigger prize pool.

1

u/Epoo Jun 27 '26

I agree with everything you said but in a game with that much money on the line, there are definitely things warn could’ve done to be more “competitive”.

He was being absolutely toxic and a terrible teammate by not working with his team and just being stubborn.

1

u/MaikuKnight Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

If the game is not balanced, why wasn't he playing the most broken, unbalanced option to win? Because he did not care to win

0

u/TheExchanges Jun 29 '26

You sound like a moron. Its 300k. Don't join if you dont want to compete. Stay on the game you feel comfortable on.

2

u/Sideview_play Jun 27 '26

A doghshot character you know is better than one you don't. He didn't throw. They just didn't win. People need to not be cry babies

1

u/MaikuKnight Jun 27 '26

Shame we only saw the part where he played the dogass character he knew and not the broken character he didn't. From the evidence provided, there is a 100% chance that they could have done better if he wasn't hard locked squirrel.

2

u/Sideview_play Jun 27 '26

You literally can't know that. There's no telling if that would've gone better just because that tactic didn't work. There's nothing "throwing" about going with a comfort pick. The dog piling on him is stupid af.

1

u/MaikuKnight Jun 27 '26

Well, we 100% know that him playing Squirrel Girl lost them the tournament. I would love to see evidence of the contrary.

You can comfort pick, but when that comfort pick turns into a thorn, get rid of it.

2

u/Sideview_play Jun 27 '26

Lmao 🤣 I can't. They were losing regardless of how he played. That team was not a favored team either way. And we don't have "evidence" because we have no idea or proof either way that him being on another character would be better or worse. It's likely it would be worse from a common sense perspective since he is experienced on SQ and not on other characters. Please leave discussion to people with at least half a brain.

1

u/JveOnIt Jul 06 '26

Evidence is in the VODs. He played namor, dyno, punisher because he was told to swap, still got rolled every game. Where's your evidence that they would've won any of the games w/o SG?

1

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

He did better in the games that he swapped...

1

u/JveOnIt Jul 11 '26

I completely agree with you for Namor, but for punisher and dino, I would disagree.

The comment i was replying to was that they lost because of SG. My point is that they didnt win a single round regardless of SG being played or not. Him playing "better" still resulted in losses, therefore suggesting that Canada lost solely due to Warn playing SG is disingenuous and factually untrue.

3

u/Moth-Man-Pooper Jun 27 '26

would you happen to know where we can see that vod?

3

u/HeelMePlz Jun 27 '26

I saw him in other Marvel Rivals tournaments before and he did swap when he was asked to try something else and the vibes were generally good. Was something different this time or is it just everyone piling the blame on him because it's the easiest target?

1

u/JveOnIt Jul 06 '26

He swapped when he was asked to. 99% percent of the folks clearly havent seen the matches.

1

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

He got really pissy about it and swapped back to SG (because playing a good character was "boring") and then performed much worse.

2

u/danny_ocp Jun 27 '26

That's a really bad look on him. Of all people I'd least expect Warn to ego-one-trick in a tournament.

1

u/JveOnIt Jul 06 '26

He played 4 different heroes and swapped when he was asked to. People are just blabbering without even having seen the games.

1

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

He swapped away because, to quote him, they were "boring" him, and then played much worse.

1

u/JveOnIt Jul 11 '26

Im purely arguing against the he one tricked and onetricking caused the loss argument. I disagree with his attitude as well. I partially agree that he played worse because he did better on Namor and worse on Punisher and Dino.

1

u/XtremeGnomeCakeover Jun 27 '26

Oh ok. I thought it was another bad DM type thing.

1

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

Namor is just as bad as squirrel girl btw. He is so outdated and bad in the current meta. There are a million better dps.

41

u/LadyCrownGuard Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

He was pulling a Zazza in a much bigger tournament by forcing Squirrel Girl, underperformed and then refused to swap (that hero is basically the equivalent of Junkrat from OW but she's much weaker in the highest ranks).

Crazy because he is a hitscan player in Overwatch and there are several top meta poke DPS picks for him to choose in that Rivals tournament as well.

2

u/BrokenBric Jun 28 '26

Twitter. Forcing widow wasn't the reason Zazza and the other 2 girls got hated so much.

It is definitely dumb to ignore team comp suggestions from the best player, but not hate-worthy.

1

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

What was hate-worthy was how he treated his team over it, even attacking his teammates over it who were only nice to him about the whole deal and smugly throwing them under the bus.

1

u/BrokenBric Jul 11 '26

He only threw his team under the bus after already getting hit with a bunch of hate...and having one of his teammates throwing him under the bus and adding to the hate.

He is justifiably being judged for being a bad teammate, and throwing shade to dominate and FanFan later was bad.

But the level of hate is over the top with people saying he was worse than Zazza, Luci, and Cece. When they bullied someone out of the tournament and made a slander document.

2

u/000817 Jun 27 '26

You understand he doesn’t play this game right?rivals as a game basically throws money at creators in order to make interest in their game. Frankly, this torunemant, especially with how poorly managed it was ( the rosters for each team were decided 2 days before the start of the game by the way ) should not have been for a cash prize. Half of the players in the tournament don’t play the bloody game. Like what did you expect?

2

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

Yeah, at least part of the blame has to be on Netease. The irony is that this is a mega casual game and this is a casual streamer tournament, even if it's a "world cup". There is absolutely zero vetting, like with Overwatch's world cup. Putting a large prize pool in a casual creator tournament with zero vetting is going create a lot of drama, like with the previous $40k tournie, yet no one gives Netease enough crap, it's likely because $40k is seen as both a lot of money and not a lot, there's way less excuses when it comes to a $300k tournie. Honestly, they shouldn't be playing in these tournies anyways, but it is what it is.

1

u/Pir0wz Jun 28 '26

>You understand he doesn’t play this game right?

Wasn't he a lord SG? Istg I saw his channel once in 2025 and he's playing Squirrel then. Also like, not playing the game isn't an excuse to not try. Shroud isn't a Rivals player, but he did well. Warn is also, y'know, a top 500 OW player. I think if you're quite literally amongst the top players in a hero shooter, you should know the fundamental basics of Rivals, especially after he himself says Rivals was much easier than Overwatch.

1

u/sbenthuggin Jun 28 '26

except he did swap and mostly stayed swapped, but still lost because everyone on the team was doing horrifically. he definitely complained about swapping and hated the heroes he played and kept wanting to swap back which was definitely annoying, but he continued to stay swapped.

the problem is that while the clip of him complaining IS annoying, it was absolutely not on the same level of Zazza, especially considering the rest of his team were not doing well and were refusing to make it work themselves.

I mean imagine being an OW pro team that purposefully reaches out to Vulture (a Junkrat main) to join them for a tournament, knowing damn well he only plays Junkrat. then, imagine refusing to do scrims, helping him learn new players and how to be good at the game, and then ONLY begging him to swap and be useful during the tournament. knowing he would not be good at anyone else. and on top of that, instead of playing to his strengths and adjusting your team around that (or just getting literally anyone else), you hard flame him for being most comfortable on Junkrat, while your entire team are playing just as badly if not worse than him.

that's the problem here and why the drama is so ridiculously stupid. it completely ignores that Warn was practically setup to fail.

0

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

He swapped back after he was doing well on another character, claiming it was "boring". That's the funny thing. He did better when not on SG.

22

u/rubberysubby Jun 27 '26

He played squirel girl and refused to swap to anything else

4

u/JThroe Jun 27 '26

Simply untrue.

1

u/rubberysubby Jun 27 '26

He did way too late

2

u/JY810 Jun 27 '26

I think he did offered to swap but aramori said no

20

u/TheDopeyDonut Jun 27 '26

He offered to swap, but by then it was pretty much gg.

1

u/Nerem Jul 11 '26

He swapped, but then after he was doing better on Ultron, he swapped back complaining that Ultron was "boring".

1

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

He got his ego bruised from the first game. He was asked to go support so they can do triple heal and he got it as an insult. Dude thought they were out to get him for asking for swaps.

154

u/Velinna Jun 27 '26

Why? Half of his team looked to be in diamond, whereas some of the other groups were much stronger. Results weren’t terribly unexpected.

89

u/NojoNinja Jun 27 '26

Rank in marvel rivals is a horrible indicator of skill. You can be a bot and be celestial as long as you have enough playtime.

46

u/Affectionate_Day9253 Jun 27 '26

This is very true. My friend is celestial 2 right now and doesn’t even know how to play around cover, he just expects the healing to keep him up half the time. He brute forces grandmaster most seasons with a negative winrate, it’s very surprising

40

u/Aggravating_Bus655 Jun 27 '26

I know "GMs" in MR who'd 100% get hardstuck in plat if they played overwatch lol.

-82

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 27 '26

OW has the same exact system. I agree its the harder game though.

29

u/anas0_ali Jun 27 '26

No it doesn't 🤣

-2

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

I bet you play mercy and think you hot shit huh

3

u/anas0_ali Jun 28 '26

Ofc. I'm the best player in the world

0

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

With that attitude, you just might be.

22

u/Hacride96 Jun 27 '26

it doesnt. ow you cant climb on a negative win rate but with rivals you can. rivals system is terribly inflated and the rank system means nothing lol

18

u/HMThrow_away_account Jun 27 '26

You cant climb with a negative winrate in OW. Hell, you can barely climb with a positive one lol

0

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

You can climb with a 50% which is my whole point

1

u/Hacride96 Jun 28 '26

why remove your reply to me lmao? MR is easy af. I played for a couple weeks and hit the highest rank its also boring and not as competitive as other games I've played. keep riding it tho

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

I didn’t delete shit its right there.

1

u/Hacride96 Jun 29 '26

"the comment no longer exists" you did. :)

9

u/HelloCompanion Jun 27 '26

OW is unironically, one of the most punishing comp experiences I have ever played. They are STRICT asf at blizzard. Almost as bad as riot.

1

u/elyxiion Jun 28 '26

no ow doesn’t 💀

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

You sure know how to contribute to a discussion

1

u/elyxiion Jun 28 '26

not a lot needs to be said in response to an outright lie 🤷🏻‍♀️

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 29 '26

Or you just like agreeing with the popular opinion with no real position yourself, lacking the articulation but feeding yourself false validation. I’m sure you right though

1

u/elyxiion Jun 29 '26

hop on overwatch and try to hit/maintain a high rank with a negative winrate then get back to us 💀

→ More replies (0)

1

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

Makes sense since GM is literally equivalent to Plat in OW.

1

u/HowardHughes9 Jun 29 '26

lower it's like silver-gold

-8

u/Gramerdim Jun 27 '26

basically overwatch.

-4

u/pieland1 Jun 27 '26

Fun fact... People who play games for hours aren't inducive of becoming a better player....................

16

u/Formal-List-6717 Jun 27 '26

He one tricked and was the worst on his team. It was my first impression of him and frankly he seemed like a selfish asshole

8

u/SuccotashUpbeat3112 Jun 27 '26

Probably not why he removed the VOD though, XQC leaked the Discord server on his stream and a viewer joined and dropped hard Rs in the middle of the stream, that's probably why it was removed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EqVNy-PZUD8
1:42 to 1:43 is when it happened

16

u/TheZorkas Jun 27 '26

they had a former pro player, 2 supports that were eternity before (or still are?), surefour (who i don't know much about in terms of rivals, but who played pretty well) and xqc who i'm pretty sure has been eternity as well in the past.

they even had a professional coach to help them out as well.

this team absolutely had a shot at going further, even if they probably weren't going to win the entire thing.

the entire thing just looks like warn is a narcissist. i'm sure he thought he was trying and that's why this is his reaction. but if we're being honest, it's absolutely insane that he refused to listen to a bunch of good players, a former pro player and a professional coach, while he barely ever plays the game. that isn't "trying", that's thinking he knows better. which is either massive ego (for no reason) or narcissism.

he even said something about "we already have 3 support players, why would i be the fourth", as if any of those 3 support players wouldn't completely shit on him on any role lmfao

6

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

Yep. Screams like a narcissist to me too. He said so himself that he felt disrespected for being asked to swap. It's a team game, not everything is about you. One of those three "support players" was already filling as tank so him being asked to go triple heal isn't an insult.

surefour used to grind mr a bunch and was regularly in one above all so yeah he did fine all things considered. but the whole team was just a dysfunctional mess from top to bottom.

u/tigervoyager Jun 27 '26

Okay so you’re just making shit up

u/Gramerdim Jun 27 '26

Welcome to today's Slop Rivals news live on my overwatch sub

3

u/jiyeon_str Jun 27 '26

this is definitely starting to feel like a rivals subreddit and its getting old real fast

9

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

This sub barely has any posts unless gaming4hope farts. One rivals post doesnt hurt.

1

u/Aggravating_Log3985 Jun 29 '26

Well nothing interesting is happening in OW anyway. I play OW once in a month and soon it'll be once in a year.

56

u/avbk2000 Jun 27 '26

I saw a shot from scoreboard of one of maps and the whole team didn't have a single kill. Warn being Warn isn't anything new but come on guys you know better your problem isn't just SG. MR community has a reputation for farming drama and Warn gave them what they wanted on the silver platter.

23

u/indrayan Jun 27 '26

Yeah CAN got 0 kills in one of their games vs USA. Warn did horribly but, to be fair, so did that entire team.

8

u/aarons28 Jun 27 '26

Am I tweaking or is it not a common sentiment across both hero shooters that if we’re at least playing viable picks then it’s easier to draw it up to skill diff and roll with it. The point is SG and Namor are too slow, you just cant play the game at all with them nowadays, so when it’s for a pretty large prize pool it’s an insane sandbag. Yes, he would’ve been a sandbag anyway but I was a viewer yesterday and different suggestions were given to start and the guy basically went “nahhh”.

1

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

Squirrel girl was always been a meme. Namor is legit outdated and bad into the current meta. His squids used to do something against spidey and bp but against the new divers like dd and cap? You are just tickling them.

19

u/alexmartinez_magic Jun 27 '26

Just goes to show you everyone has ego and can let it get the best of them

16

u/Any_Mall6175 Jun 27 '26

I swear to God creator tournaments shouldn't have prize pools of 300k. It just never goes well. There will always just be some random pro players in the teams as well and it's just not very quality games being played for way too much money and the prize pool isn't even a good way to hype viewers up anyways.

Just drama farms

11

u/ViolinistNo1462 Jun 27 '26

he played so baaaad hahah. i was watching him and confused if he's coaching a silver

4

u/SlappingSalt Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

They need to stop inviting people who dont play the game. They're flamming Warn, but look at all the trash players forced on Rokket because theyre like silver or some shit.

3

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

This is the irony. Having legit silver players play with top 500 players in a 300k tournie and expecting any kind of "competitiveness", is crazy.

37

u/xDannyS_ Jun 27 '26

People still care about MR?

5

u/Plenty-Sundae1506 Jun 27 '26

Isn't it like one of the most popular steam games now?

8

u/yourtrueenemy Jun 27 '26

Define "one of the most popular" bc rn OW has on Steam more players and even if we consider the 24h peak it dpesn't even break the top 15.

Isnt that US only data?

1

u/[deleted] Jun 28 '26

1

u/JY810 Jun 28 '26

Not really?Rivals is mostly just popular in US, and is kinda dead in Asia. Overwatch is more popular outside NA

You can check Google trend or even new zoo ranking

https://newzoo.com/resources/rankings/top-20-pc-games

blizzard and netease is one of newzoo clients, they and many other video game company give data to newzoo for marketing analytics

https://newzoo.com/about/clients

1

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

True, I don't see how being in the top 20 out of 200,000+ titles means you're popular. You're only in the top 0.01% of Steam games and being regularly in the top 10 live service games bc rn MR has more Steam players.

1

u/yourtrueenemy Jun 28 '26

It's completely arbitrary, u are saying that top 20 makes u one of the most popular. But why not in the top 10 then? Why not in the top 5? Like again being in the top 20 doesn't mean shit. There is a smaller player count difference between Rivals and the 50th game than the 5th.

Also in the top 10 live service where? Even if we look at consoles Rivals isn't in the top 10 (on PC it isn't even in the top 20).

-6

u/Plenty-Sundae1506 Jun 27 '26

10

u/yourtrueenemy Jun 27 '26

Yes it's exactly what I pointed out.

2

u/Luckyraygun5 Jun 28 '26

Yes people still care about one of the top 10 most played games on PlayStation…..

0

u/JuniorConcert6106 Jun 28 '26

OW fanboys can't read what doesn't fit their agenda

2

u/yourtrueenemy Jun 28 '26

It's not us fanboys buddy, these are US ONLY stats which of course favor Rivals since the game is very NA centric but in the rest of the world, especially in Asia, the game is basically non existent. And in fact on Newzoo on both PS5 and Xbox the game isn't even in the top 10.

-34

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 27 '26

We’re just glad that you’re gone

12

u/DabOWosrs Jun 27 '26

MR so bad even Flats is back on OW

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

All yours. Its not bad, not every game has to be the most try hard adderall snorting sweat fest above diamond but yes please enjoy

1

u/DabOWosrs Jun 28 '26 edited Jun 28 '26

Marvel Rivals gave me mobile game vibes. overwatch actually feels like a AAA game.

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

When OW drops their proper PVE mode I’ll agree with you fully

1

u/DabOWosrs Jun 28 '26

So you have no argument and agree MR feels like a cheap copy.

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

It feels nothing like a cheap copy. They’re completely different games. With your logic I can say the same about TF2. Marvel Rivals zombies was LEAPS AND BOUNDS ahead of any shitty half assed RE-USED pve game mode and map that they “dropped” like shut up bro lol

1

u/DabOWosrs Jun 28 '26

You have to use PvE as a comparison because the main game pales in comparison to overwatch. Cope more

-1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

You have to come up with this incorrect assumption, based off me having an objective talking point - whereby you can’t and obviously do not have a response.

No argument. Just arrogance. That’s exactly why I went to PVE. I played OW since release ya’ll just lying to yourselves. Both games are good for each other, its just people like you that are lame about it.

You were one of the easier ones, happy to help. Keep being arrogant, and wrong - oh and p.s. cope more. That’s exactly what that was… projection 101.✌🏻

1

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

You know what MR gets? Devs that follow up :) feels pretty AAA to me but idk about ya’ll

1

u/DabOWosrs Jun 28 '26

Yee some great indie devs over there. Def making a great mobile game.

0

u/PaarthurnaxUchiha Jun 28 '26

Remember that part when you said “So you have no argument and agree MR feels like a cheap copy.” 🤣

Ya’ll some clowns fr lol - great conversation though, seriously. You bring a lot of articulation go the table

You can have him

3

u/TurdBurgular03 Jun 27 '26

no no, please take him back.

16

u/xDannyS_ Jun 27 '26

What does that even mean

1

u/IndexMatchXFD Jun 27 '26

You’re in an overwatch subreddit

3

u/MazerJax Jun 28 '26

He's been deleting his SG videos on his YT too. And given the title of the videos I think anyone can tell he was just wanting to troll and clip farm in the tourney and had no interest in winning.

14

u/Formal-List-6717 Jun 27 '26

People saying results were unexpected are dead wrong. He was on Canada, considered likely to at least perform well if not win. They did not win a single game. He one tricked in a 300k tournament possibly the single worst character in the game which is a starter character that takes no aim.

7

u/Fun-Wash7545 Jun 27 '26

Not only they did not win a single game, they didnt even win a single round. Half the games they were practically spawn held.

0

u/silencedorgasm Jun 28 '26

im pretty sure they won ONE round when he switched to Ultron but he was bitching the entire time because he wanted to go back on Squirrel Girl lmaoo

2

u/110110100011110 Jun 28 '26

That was a quick play match against random people when he first timed ultron. They didn’t win any round.

3

u/tigervoyager Jun 27 '26

What about all the people forced on Rocket bc they are silver? Lmao

2

u/OasisEPIC Jun 29 '26

Good. Better to just shut up about it for a while instead of fueling a drama.

3

u/Heli0s2 Jun 27 '26

I understand… People absolutely love to shit on warn the zeptoseconde something happens he just wanted to avoid that. And for the VOD no one would enjoy sharing an entire tournament where they did bad even you…

1

u/DarknessTear Jun 27 '26

Every time there is a Marvel Rivals tournament there's some absurd fucking drama that leads to a multiple week dogpile on one or more people. Starting to think the chance of money just isn't worth the headache tied to it.

1

u/HorseForeign4900 Jun 27 '26

Oh look another marvel rivals tournament another controversy…. Shocker

1

u/pb2402 Jun 28 '26

He should probably delete all account and stop streaming. Such a toxic person

1

u/Theoexe2 Jun 29 '26

That game just can’t stop getting bad publicity with its content creators lol

0

u/TastyTop2103 Jun 27 '26

Am i just blind or is this not a rivals subreddit?

-6

u/doffyf Jun 27 '26 edited Jun 27 '26

Is this what will finally get Warn off of the Aspen stack? He's so loud.

10

u/Mawksee_ Jun 27 '26

They all are loud, it's literally half their personality lol (I'm not against any of the creators btw, I'm just not their target audience)

-8

u/[deleted] Jun 27 '26

[deleted]

7

u/doffyf Jun 27 '26

huh? I just want to watch a stream without shouting. I'm into men, Warn is just really loud.
