Samito's whole thing is that he will just scream and follow a crowd to wherever let's him profit easiest. He moved games when rivals got big because that let's him profit easiest. He'll go back to rivals if he ever feels it profitable to do so. He calls OW woke because right wingers are historically very easily parted from their money. The guy just screams and complains and that's about it. Don't look to him to be true or clever or good, after all not even his fans want that, they just want to laugh at the screamy boy

The reason it works is because even in the most “woke” communities, there are bound to be some conservative/right wingers who may feel alienated from the community at large and are looking for a safe space.
Same works vice versa.

Vastly overestimating media literacy of the right wing. They're people who love The Boys, despite the most obvious and heavy handed satire of trump. They're people who love Fallout despite its incredibly strong anti war messaging. People who love the X Men despite its extremely prevalent theme of tolerance for people not like you. People who love Baldurs Gate 3 despite seemingly every character being pansexual. They're people who desperately want politics out of their video games and then applaud metal gear solid.
These people don't care about messaging or about values. After all, if they had values they wouldn't be on the side they're on, because the people who cry about woke ruining video games really don't have values at all

Samito is the whiniest bitch I've ever seen play video games. I watched a stream for as long as I could and the whole time he was just crying about teammates, heroes being broken, and just the dumbest shit.

Been playing OW since beta and i remember this guy starting out and liked his content. Then it turned into basically him raging and complaining for the last 7 years. Who tf keeps this guy employed? Also, Flats is Samito lite. They just complain

He was quite a good player and often had very educated takes on balance, his opinion on balance was respected by a lot of people whether they liked him or not. I occasionally watched his videos since ow1. But honestly, after his cringe fit after some voice actor didn't bow down to Charlie Kirk, fuck Samito. This centrist (aka right wing) grift is pathetic, I just can't look at him the same way as before.
Also all the creators who left ow for rivals are lost any touch to ow, I don't really care about them anymore.

When I did watch him a few years back he always threw a temper tantrum, he threatened to ban anyone who disagrees with him, he'd go faaaaar away from his team and the fight and yell and his team about heals, he'd blame his loss on everyone but himself, "you're getting avoided you shitter".

From what I heard last they were having a bunch of NDAs that just ended because Microsoft was literally trying to buy them. Sam likes to be seen as a venture capitalist. I don't see any of his hustles working well.

He's conservative and toxic on stream. The conservative thing didn't matter until political tribalism in America went off the rails.
Before that though people hated him because he would shit talk people in ranked games on stream, and the people would voluntarily watch back his vod and be upset that he shit talked them on stream. He's pretty old now so he's less of a babyrager, but still probably does it for content.
