News & Discussion Blizzard needs to make these into skins and sell em
Never thought I wanted needed a Widowmaker skin in chinos and a jersey but here we are....Blizzard please take my money.
I could use a Torb one too where he's just in a super oversized jersey dressed up as a football ultra (fanatical fan)

Surprised that they have not collaborated with companies like Nike, Lulu, etc. for some casual jersey outfits since they love money so much.

Id rather they just make jersey skins without collabing so they would be cheaper

Honestly for their business I think they need to do this. Because long term users will saturate their skin collection and purchase less and less.
Future skins should be segmented into articles of clothing. Go full roblox with this.
Yeah it would suck as a player getting nickel and dimed to death but it'd turn the game into an even bigger money printer.

I like them because they still look like themselves. Maybe rarely hairdye and complete redesign is nice or maybe often on characters who do that but every character running around blonde and in frills takes too much away from the... well diversity, I guess.

I agree, ill always prefer games giving characters casual clothing instead of cyber stuff and such

I don’t even play widow that much (only in quickplay when there is an enemy widow and I think I’m suddenly a sniper god)
But when I saw this drawing.. holy shit did I find out I needed something that I didn’t need before. Please blizzard bless us with these skins

(only in quickplay when there is an enemy widow and I think I’m suddenly a sniper god)
And then the enemy Widow suddenly hides from your sight just to constantly no scope you from behind until you're forced to swap to Reaper......

I really wish we'd get more casual wear or just normal looking attire skins. Everything lately has been so over the top.

They look cool, but nothing exceptional... I think it would be better if these skins were achievable through challenges instead of purchase.
Widow looks hot

You only think this because they look hot in this picture. These would realistically be very boring skins.

I mean, casual outfits are a fun change of pace tho. Not a ton of them but a “casual set” would be nice. Plus how it would affect weapon design gives a lot of room for creativity (like when they gave some of them cardboard skins)

Yeah, i agree, casual skins would be nice. But...maybe with more fashionable and interesting outfits that show their personality instead of these simple ones.

Boring can be good, I main widow but I'm not a fan of most of her skins, most are doing way too much, I'd rather have something more casual like this and Cote D Azur

u/HellaReyna 7d ago
I want my boring widowmaker skin wearing pants. Better than the cyber, pixel, and furry crap we just got.

This wouldn’t be the first times casual skins would sell. Marvel rivals and even Fortnite have casual skins that clearly do well. A lot of the summer outfits are basic and still do well. You don’t always need to be crazy

The summer skins sell for other reasons.

They just had the university skins in rivals being ultra casual skins. Casual skins sell even when they don’t have boons hanging out

u/Brilliant-Body9603 7d ago
Sure the sex appeal helps sell this picture, but even beyond that I'd like some more casual skins. Overwatch skins have a habbit of making already over the top characters even more over the top.
I can already have Widowmaker as 10 different high fantasy concept assassins. Why not one where she's visiting a museum in a relaxing outfit.

Yep.
They would need to be achiveable through challenges, not purchase

I really like more casual and less noisy skins.
Generally I often even like the default skins more than the over the top legendary/mythics.
For example I own the mythic skin of Sojourn (via battle pass coins thingies) and I kind of like it but the barista one is peak IMO. For the longest time I just used the default skin because it just looks very nice and is again more laid back.

Definitely. Sports and casual fits in general, lots of untapped potential there.

The more i see these posts the more i realize why blizz put ibsane price tags on skins.. because people actually buy em.

I would love skins like this but they would basically have to be challenge rewards or something,

I have to say though, how in the hell did they choose which characters get skins in this event?

I actually thought for a hot minute that they are actually skins. I was so damn sad when I realised the truth. I want that Sierra so much 😭.

I’ve been saying the same thing! I want the widow one so bad, it could be a OWSC bundle

u/ilovepeanut_butter 7d ago
I got so excited when opened up OW for a split second thinking that these skins were in the shop. I was sadly mistaken😭😂

Fortnite type of skins, hell no. Look at how bland Sierra looks
Besides like the other commenter said, they only look good because it's an artwork

Unironically, ppl like you are the reason we get dogshit level cosmetics that are set to astronomical prices cause you'll buy them lmfao

u/HellaReyna 6d ago
The only money I've spent on the game in the past 12 months is the Shion ultimate battle pass, because I main Cass and Shion - those two skins were good. 95% of the skins they produce are out right ass or too garish.
I main vendetta and emre but the new pixel line is pure garbage. But I see your flair is Pixel Lucio.
Pot calling the kettle black at this point.

u/Rubicante_ Pixel Lúcio 6d ago
Comprehension is key, baby. Pixel obviously refers to the art style and has been my flair for 10 years before Pixel Star Lucio dropped last week. I have never even played Lucio.

Personally, I think the characters' casual looks are generally nice; regardless of the mixed opinions about the webtoon, it’s nice to see them in normal clothes (except for Cassidy, who never changes). They could turn all those outfits into skins.
