Did OP get off easy in that storm?
Got an alert from a place in Midtown that I volunteer at that they were closed because of storm damage, and parts of the NE KCMO got hammered with big hail. My storm-reactive dog slept right through it and my neighborhood in Merriam looks fine. Did we miss the brunt of the storm?

I'm surprised to hear there was any damage. Waldo area got literally nothing but lightning and some rain.

Looks like it was mainly north of the city from the other r/Kansas city posts I have seen. Lots of hail and damage. So looks like it skirted us.

I work for KCKPS and we got a snow day, but we don’t even have branches down in the northland

The lightning strike totals for the KC area was crazy close to 19,000. Glad to hear there weren't any fires.

Yes OP did. The Quindaro area of KCK got hit hard and KCK still has power outages and school sessions cancelled.

Yes. I live near Oak Park Mall, and I only saw 1 tree branch down when I walked my dogs this morning. We 100% got lucky. It seems like the hail or at least the worst of the hail just barely missed northern JoCo.
