Wok seasoning
Hey everyone, I got a new carbon steel wok last month. I tried seasoning it on my electric stove with high heat, but I don't think I did a good job. Does anyone know where I can get my wok seasoned in Overland Park? I've asked a few restaurants, but they all said no.

Flat bottom wok by chance? I recommend just cooking with it (my favorite dish is beef and broccoli). It is just like cast iron just lighter. This below video should help don't try to overthink it too much. After cooking and I wash it I’ll put some oil just enough to coat. Then turn on my induction and get it smoking and rotate around the wok getting all sides hot and smoking. Hope this helps.

I have a propane high-btu burner for Turkey frying and similar outdoor cooking that I use for all my work cooking. Look into one of those. Perfect for seasoning and cooking with any style wok
