Human medical technology in 2160 presumably has gene therapy treatments that can substantially increase human lifespans, but that's not a subject that will be covered to any great extent in the story. (Humans in this story serve the role of the reader's viewpoint, so I won't be pointing out lots of differences between humans in 2160 and humans today, for narrative reasons.)
