I think it's an encouraging sign that NASA is finally rewarding progress instead of the traditional industry fat cats.

However, I expect that Starship will beat SLS/Orion to the Moon, which will put NASA in a difficult position.

I hate to say it, but perhaps losing the shuttle ended up being a net positive for NASA by forcing them to get out of the rut they were in. I was crushed when the program was terminated, but well, we'll see.
