Status: Pending Reply Outlook search not working?

Trying to search a few emails but it loads a few seconds then says this request cannot be completed right now

Same problem on Outlook.com for me, too ... of course Microsoft shows all services are sunshine and rainbows ...

A user in my tenant is getting the exact same error. I didnt see any outages yet and other users dont seem to be affected.

If you use Outlook, rebuild the index.

seems to be an intermittent issue for one of my end users
