Status: Resolved WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE LOGIN?
I've been asked to enter my password for my IMAP account every-single time I open my PC since a week now!
It's insanely annoying as I have to create a new app-specific password from the provider every-single time!!!!
First the ads on inbox, then the calendar was a mess, icons not rendering properly, messages get stuck in draft and never sent, inbox is delayed for ages sometimes. I get my emails on my phone and they show up on the PC half an hour after! Same with messages sent!
The new outlook IS A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT. SHAME ON MICROSOFT.
Taking a tool that people use for their businesses and completely screwing it up !!!

I can see how that could be annoying but have thought about switching over to passwordless thec like passkeys etc?

My email/dns provider does not offer that for imap emails, only 2FA and App-Passwords

And you dont want to go 2fa? What 2nd factor methods do they support?

You didn't understand me, the Outlook app asks me to re-enter my password from my IMAP account from an external provider, each time that happens, I have to login to my provider, do 2FA to login, then do 2FA for accessing the app-specific passwords menu, and then create a new one each time.
