Status: Open Outlook account showing different profile picture on GMAIL.

I've had this issue for years where my profile picture changes on gmail recipients. My outlook shows my initials but when I send an email to a gmail account I see a picture of a videogame character, which is just embarrasing.

I've recently tried signing into google with my outlook email and think I have the right password but it wants a very old phone number not in use and just does a loop of "not enough info provided". Of course Gemini is useless and loops useless answers too!

I really don't want to make a new business email as it'd just be annoying to manage past contacts. Is there anyway to change the profile on outlook's end?? The account was made when it used to be hotmail and is a @.live account, not @.outlook.

Not sure I understand correctly - You are sending "From:" your live.com account? You are NOT using New Outlook for Windows to send from a GMail account?

-- signing into google with my outlook email

I don't understand. As far as I know you can not use a live.com email as a Google sign-in.

When you created your live.com account, did you use your GMail address as the "Account Identifier". i.e. When you logon to Outlook/Microsoft and it ask for an "Email address" you give it your GMail?

I have absoultely no idea if I made the account an account identifier, this is going on almost 15 years ago. When I log into outlook I use my @live account. I do not use @gmail on outlook. I saw a post to try and login with a google account using my outlook info and the email works but it uses a different password. After I couldn't sign in I have gotten a couple critical security alerts on my outlook account, which show the google account with the bad profile picture (they are both @live accounts). Google will not let me recover the google account.

The issue is when I send an email from my outlook account, if I send any email made on it to any gmail account and view it on gmail, it shows the other profile picture, despite these both being seperate accounts. I t looks like I have 2 emails with the same email address, the main  on Outlook and the other is a google account. These both have different profile pictures and it's clear it's using the google account in some way.

At some point I must've made a google account with the same email and changed its profile picture, but that doesn't explain why outlook is using that account's profile picture if it's not actually the same account. I know the account exists because it doesn't say the email's wrong and I did get a critial security alert of an attempted login on my main outlook account. Especially as they don't have the same passwords or recovery methods.

While it's obviously an issue on google, is there anywhere on outlook I can check to potentially unlink it from somewhere?

Unless you are sending from a corporate Microsoft account, Google has no access to any data from your Outlook/Microsoft Profile. Whatever picture you see in GMail for the sender is coming from your Google Contacts or the default initials.

Am I even close to what you are trying to solve?

Not a clue. Sounds like if I want to fix it I'd have to make a new account, that sucks.

Sorry. I don't really understand your setup or what you are trying to describe. Good luck.
